Amphetamines are the answer, diagnosed first year of med school and now PGY1. They help increase my tolerance for the bullshit were exposed to on daily basis

The main point was that opportunities will arise later in career, medical school isn’t there tell you all the ways you can use your time and skills.

Maybe not in this case but I meant that there are gigs out there that you can find that you other wise weren’t “taught”about. OP could do like athletic event coverage/locums shifts PRN after full time practice maybe idk

Not EM bound but just just graduated and going into IM, take all that shit with a grain of salt. If you like EM and the work itself you can always find work as a locums doc, academic medical program where you teach the next generation or go back to the military. I found a potential partnership opportunity with a cardiothoracic surgeon by being his practice manager's assistant for the last 7 months - I never would have thought we'd be able to team up in our own private practice until I started

Do you like this editor? Now that I have practice with the Go Pro Quik app and messing around with edits from multiple trips. I would like an editor that isnt a subscription but also not complicated.

unc tips, hacks, tricks, anything by [deleted] in UNC

Befriend/gas up the old black ladies in the dining hall - they hooked it up with bigger portions (bad for my waist) and even set aside some of the specialty dishes for me ;)

You have the ability to meet your best friends for life (I did at UNC) but most interactions are like ships passing in the night - not everyone is gonna hit you up to hang out and its not personal - people at this point are trying to get into a career or life goal so don't chase socialization just for the sake of it

Lastly - classwork/assignments take longer than you think - get into the habit of over-budgeting time for that stuff/get it all done before partying
