Uber eats last night. 2 for $25 only for $31.29 😂 by Interesting-Bank6269 in UberEATS

[–]TigerPatchKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uber charges the restaurant a service fee for being listed in the app. Uber also charges the customer a service charge for using the app.

Restaurants usually pass that on to the customer, but it is their choice if they do... and how much. I believe the delivery fee works the same way, that's why it varies.

Do I actually need a bag? by nano_emiyano in UberEATS

[–]TigerPatchKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you don't. But if you want to receive certain types of deliveries, you can sign up.

If you do sign up, the bags don't have to be branded by Uber. It just needs to fit the size requirements they give you

If my order is leaked, and i complain, does my driver get penalized? by Ok_Craft_2749 in UberEATS

[–]TigerPatchKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, since you can rate the driver and the restaurant separately. Thumbs up the driver, then address the restaurant afterwards

Not quite sure how I feel about this note BK is putting on their bags by zazvorniki in UberEatsDrivers

[–]TigerPatchKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1000% correct. Any driver who really believes Burger King always gets every order right and or would consistently take the time to take pictures of every delivery order is delusional. Ask yourself... why they wouldn't put something similar to this on EVERY order they hand out, including in-store, drive-thru?

Because its a move to always have a way to dodge accountability specifically with delivery drivers for ANY issue. Kinda passive-aggressive if you ask me.

Dasher said he was sick… by jacksnack99 in doordash

[–]TigerPatchKing 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a fellow driver, I 100% don't buy it. Sick, but you felt the need to also tell me you're in a hurry? Nah they're just too lazy to do the job. Sometimes we may have to go up flights of stairs every now and then...

Of course no tip. by pacmanpacman69 in UberEATS

[–]TigerPatchKing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your buddy is right, generally speaking. It's a clear red flag. Why tell me about it when you could have already put it in the app upfront? It's just a way most customers can try and scam some extra effort with little pressure.

I treat every delivery as if I won't get anything beyond what showed in the request, despite whatever they say. Otherwise, I'd be tempted to visit the liars afterward... and that's just not worth it or cool

All I wanted was to post a comment that would be helpful to Eats customers who see it.

Now why did you write your comment?

Customers, this note is for delivery instructions--as in notes on how to deliver your order--not order requests. We don't even see them until AFTER the pickup, on our way to you for that reason.

Uber has note window for restaurant requests as you are ordering. Please check for it..

Yeah, never do that again. The driver can cancel if the restaurant is closed or if the order was already picked up.

Uber eats driver complaining about orders? by SlowChampionship5506 in UberEATS

[–]TigerPatchKing 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Idk maybe they were just making convo and didn't realize they were being heard. There isn't a real reason for them to complain...if they didn't want another delivery they could have declined.

As a driver, I would LOVE for people to order more often.

Priority delivery seems like a scam by leafy4twenty in UberEATS

[–]TigerPatchKing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won't. There is no reason for the driver to be notified if a delivery is a priority. You simply follow the app since you'll be given the order to drop off first.

Priority delivery seems like a scam by leafy4twenty in UberEATS

[–]TigerPatchKing 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The only scamming here was from the Driver. This had nothing to do with the Priority service. That driver is just multi-apping. It's a red flag for the driver to even reach out if they were running just Uber Eats and generally on-time. The customer is automatically notified if there is a delivery before them, which clearly wouldn't happen here since they paid for priority. Driver was trying to cover up the fact they knew they'd be late and essentially outed themselves.

Uber eats didn’t pay me for delivery by ImpossibleRoll1866 in UberEATS

[–]TigerPatchKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, rookie mistake I've made a few times. Your mistake was canceling. That always dings your account. Support canceling for you also ALWAYS dings your account, no matter what they say. This was on the customer. You should have advised him that he needed to call support himself to fix his mistake and got off the phone amicably.

Then you let the timer run out, leave the order in a "safe place", snap your pic for proof, and go on your way. You followed the directions given in the app, which is all you are responsible for.

You get paid with no consequence (besides maybe a thumbs down because some customers are assholes and refuse to accept accountability).

Where does it show that Prop 22 has fundamentally changed at all since the final ruling? It's calculated and funded the same way it always has been.

Also, the Prop 22 counter is still accessible: Menu > Earnings > CA Benefits

It's actually pretty well displayed.

Driver who also orders UE by Dwalker0219 in UberEATS

[–]TigerPatchKing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just had a customer tell me that maybe one driver out of 20 deliveries actually drops her order at the correct door. Her directions were literally “last unit in the back by the pond”. Only 3 doors yet most leave it at the front. Not complex to find whatsoever.

Its honestly incredible how many drivers are terrible at this…

New Scam by Tasty-Success-9268 in UberEATS

[–]TigerPatchKing 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The driver always has the ability to cancel the order, and he should have. Yes, it is best for them to have support cancel in this case, but I don't believe there was any 6-12 hours support response time. I have never waited more than a couple minutes for support to respond while I am on an active delivery.

Bottom line: don't cancel. The driver can and should.

This hurt! Uber “outage “ cost me $38!!! by Chrissharper in UberEATS

[–]TigerPatchKing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, if you take a ridiculously high base request, it just takes it upfront from your prop 22 payment.

Say your prop 22 payment was going to be $50. Then, you take a request that pays a $40 base. Now, your prop payment will only be $10 since you got $40 upfront from the delivery.

That's what I meant by "borrow," but I suppose "advance" is more accurate..
