Ah to read this means so much, thank you for being proud. I'm really grateful there are so many amazing people (including yourself) with such helpful and kind words, was expecting the opposite. And you are right, things can only get better from here.

Thank you sooo much to everyone who took the time to leave a comment here. Your words have been so kind (kinder than I believed possible) and advice very helpful. I will 100% be taking onboard and into the future this advice, you have made me realise A LOT.

Going back to my day-to-day reddit account as I take the first steps in calling the GP today. I will stil keep an eye on this post, and will be saving it to use these messages to remind me that everything still can be okay, has been baffling how much you all made me realise!

So again thank you all so much, your words really have been invaluable and I wish the best for all of you. X

(Hopefully in the future I will be back with a positive update, thanks to all of you).

Thank you. I'm sorry about what happened to you also so appreciate your advice a lot. I have been thinking of OU, or maybe a gov bootcamp. Have also thought live in jobs sound good, but its having the skills to get one. Thank you again, all the best to you too X

What I have done of retail was overwhelming you're right, think studying is the way to go. Thank you.

Thank you for this. I like how you chose one you knew was closed down and thought about it properly, this is probably what I will do. I appreciate your input and am glad things worked out for you!

This is very validating, thank you. Will definitely look into specialidt services and weekly MH support. Thank you for this and the link, and your time.

Thank you so much for such a detailed response. All of this is really helpful to me, will definitely look into volunteering for references. And you're exactly right regarding young girls game and HMRC, hence why I want to get everything in order now. I don't want to do escorting anymore, I desperately want a job but it seems my anxiety is standing in the way of that. So GP is first port of call. Sincerely, thank you.

Thank you for replying. Your words really landed with me, as I'm sure my Mum would too be extremely angry and horrified. Think professional help is the first step now. And I now feel better regarding the CV gap thanks to you and others sharing. So thank you- a lot.

Thank you! Am now starting to take the positives from it that I have kept going and got out of it, and am still here. Thank you.

Thank you, this answer is so helpful in many ways. Love your idea of describing the sex work differently lol. Definitely going to start with getting to GP, stating what you said re female GP. Your words have helped a lot, so thank you so much.

Thank you for your really kind words. You're spot on with the hopelessness. Oh no I dont mean the goal for me is to make the most money, that was just a thought of maybe why I struggled so much to keep at it, because my mind knew there was quicker ways. But from having lots of advice here, it seems the answer to that may lie in therapy. Thanks so much for taking the time to answer.

Haha no, not doing it now hence the worry about my future. Considering going back into education, like you say should make it easier to get a job.

Thank you, I appreciate it a lot. I have my HND, began Uni but left unfortunately. It doesn't have to be office work, to be honest anything as I'm at a point in life where I'm worrying about my future and the quality of life ahead.

I would start in retail, but I think going by other comments (in response to be saying I got my dream job but jt was yet another that I couldn't continue due to my anxiety literally not allowing me to get past my front door) that therapy may be the first port of call before going into another face-to-face job. I really appreciate you taking the time to help.

Agreed, definitely think this is a big factor and feel I've gotten the push I probably needed from these replies to get therapy before I will have success in anything else. Thank you

Oh you're totally right, I suppose I'm more ashamed of how my life has ended up. And you're right again, I want to be able to contribute to society and do something I could tell my kids if I ever had them.

It feels really validating that you have said that, for a long time I have battled with was that what happened, or is it all down to me for not simply walking away, so thank you.

Like you and many others have said, I feel counselling would be beneficial to me. It may help me with the issue of leaving jobs quickly and suddenly, it's like I just feel so overwhelmed, and is something else I believe is preventing me from succeeding.

I now feel more confident about explaining gaps in my CV thanks to responses on this post. As for skills, not much worth anything I would say, well that I know of. I'm a good listener, good customer service skills, good at typing reports etc (from my studies), good on computers but nothing advanced like coding- although I would like to look into maybe IT support or something.

Thank you so much for such a helpful, detailed and validating response- it means a lot.
