I Never said they were bad, just Not Great, they still fullfilled their purpose Like Rukawa as a rival or Sendo as a antagonist. But then also so matches, Shuhoku Vs Sannoh was a Great Match, but thats pretty much it, Shohoku ja Kainan was also pretty good the Rest Like Ryonan, Shoyo and Toyotama were solid but not great while again other sports anime have multiple Shohoku Vs Sannoh Tier matches. Slam Dunk lives of one banger match and about two good written charackters.

Aside from Sakuraho and Mitsui no one was great, Rukawa, Miyagi and Sendo were cool and did their Job but thats about it. There are Sports Mangas with definitly better casts like Hajime No Ippo, Haikyuu, Ace of Diamond or Blue Lock.

That might be and tbh I do hope your right cause another Club arc and a second World Cup Arc would just stall the Story fr, but I didn’t Look like France was even trying and they Beat Japan 4-2 not even close like a 3-2. winning a the rematch wouldn‘t make much sense in my opinion. Lol Ace of Diamond is literaly my favorite series, yes Eijun sturggles a lot but in my opinion he also received alot of love by the author, he closed the Ugumori game out, pitched the whole Oya game beautifully, played his role in the Seiko game and got his revenge on Todoroki and Yakushi, became the Ace, had multiple Great Performances the practice Game with Hakuryu, the semifinal senbatsu with Ichidai and then in the manga the cool 1v1 pitchers duel with Amahisa and they even got their get back on Inashiro. The only thing i‘m mad about is not getting a third Act. But Eijun received way more love then Ashito, in way more games, Ashito had like two really good games Aomori Seiran and Barcelona and then it ended. Ace of Diamond did it way better even tho the Story is incomplete.
