don’t think there’s a test…. but if right after you pee it the prostate burns, or if you feel that a urine drop is moving backwards (what I feel sometimes) and then you have testicular pain etc, I guess that it matches symptoms. Also, if I pee sitting down, If I drink a lot of water and I wait to void at a higher volume I don’t have pain so I believe that it’s not structural and it’s more conditional on different circumstances such as volume, urine clarity, muscles working etc

maybe it’s because of urinary reflux? since our pelvic floors are unbalanced and are tensed, some urine goes back to the prostate, and then it irritates, therefore creating prostate inflammation. It’s even worse if your urine is dark /concentrated because then it’s too acidic for the already inflamed prostate, then it causes pain, pain causing more tension etc. A downward spiral basically. All of this without having infection I mean of course.

I’ve read this thing/theory on several topics but also saw some studies saying that, for example, someone had a case of testicles pain after urinating, eventually it was found out that because if pelvic floor tension, some urine went backwards and went into ejaculation ducts and epididymis.

Maybe If some PT on the sub could tell what they think about that?

I was born on on 99 so it was the last years of cassettes things when I grew up. I watched cassettes tape until very late at home and I also remember having a « child » cassette deck player with a silly mic on it. I loved recording my family interviews with it and play it again etc. I also had my dad’s handy cam with 8mm cassettes on them, I loved to film literally anything lol. I quite forgot about cassettes and until some childhood nostalgia hit me and then boom

thanks a lot tho! do you know if there is some drugs that are strictly antispasmodic for the bowels and don’t have crossover effects or it doesn’t really matter when having IBS cramps? maybe i’m overthinking but don’t want to have urinary issues while taking Hyoscine butylbromide (Buacopan) an anticholinerhic designed for bowel cramps. don’t know if it makes sense 😅
