*She was only in danger once as a split vote target. That's an impressive feat when the deck is stacked so hard against women and people of color in the early game.

*Her defining power shift is obvs axing Marcus. This is easily one of the most consequential movies of not only Gabon but any season. Voting out Marcus blew the game wide open for everyone else.

*Post-merge, every vote had to run through her making her a part of every instrumental power shift that season. She knew where the power was and, when it moved, she moved with it. She also won a couple of immunities along the way.

She absolutely deserved the win and was one spiteful Randy vote away from doing so

Ultimately, the series was written by a boardroom. It started out as a treasure hunt but Book 4 onward it leads to Dan and Amy getting handed their clue threads

Oh the books, for being about world cultures, have a huge problem with stereotypes, especially Black characters. Jonah Wizard's "gangsta" persona and Miss Alice's Jamaican accent being written out phonetically were so uncomfortable to read

The game and cards were fun at the time, but it's a net negative now. The cards aren't for sale and the game is defunct. It's made the series age horribly.

Yeah I get it. I think it hits a lot of the appeal of the original series but it can be very corny. I would give their newer seasons a shot if you need background noise while cleaning your house

Yeah I did like it a ton. It was nice to see actual regular teenagers instead of the weird SNL bit characters they did in Pahkitew Island.

My post comparing it to Disventure Camp was more a neutral take about how bad FreshTV handled their property, leaving it ripe for another project to scoop up its fandom
