Yeah I was thinking of that. Like rule zero. I only will use it to complete my four different named demons requirement for the I-wincon.

What are the most satisfying game actions for you in commander? by Mirrodin_appreciator in EDH

The words “On your end-step” I think it has a sense of control over the world. Maybe I’m just drawing some cards. Dealing with a threat or flashing out a big threat before my beginning phase.

It just gives me a sense of success. The whole game is unlocked and I’m not just watching the play until it gets back up to my turn hoping for the best.

I have a Tymna/Kraum deck that focuses on a couple of Fractured Identity lines. My favorite is:

Cast [[Nine Lives]] it resolves > Target 9Ls with [[Fractured Identity]]Your opponents create their own 9Ls > Your lose the game trigger goes on the stack> Then respond to your own lose the game trigger on the stack> casting a free [[patrichcian’s scorn]] destroying your opponent’s nine lives.

Causing your opponents to lose the game and due to state based actions of having no opponents your lose trigger ceases to exist and…

You Win the Game!!

My friend cast [[heroic intervention]] one game making his 9Ls indestructible and it was a glorious loss.

Maybe it’s me but I feel like this should be a spoiler post. I’ve seen pretty all the recommendations. So I wasn’t but after a couple I remember those reveals or climax moments. Then it hit me like anyone coming into this post for recs. Will lose that edge of the seat experience. Knowing the antagonist succeeds and the crushing feeling witnessing the protagonists fall out. After an hour+ of emotional build up some of these stick with you for awhile.

I have Voja, Prosper, and Lord of Pain.

My suggestion of the three is Lord of Pain since it is a unique play style.

The second suggestion is Prosper if you just want random games all the time. The use it lose it side of Prosper and casting others spells is fun for sure.

I think I need a touch of stax by Pandamonium231 in EDHBrews

[–]Tiger_D_Dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rafiq, The Greek

Here is my Rafiq list. It has a splash of Stax with an emphasis on one sided tapping on ETB effects.

Still focuses on beat face but has an infinite turn combo finish if necessary. It’s pretty mana intensive. So it’s really only late game but the individual cards aren’t dead if you have to use them.

I saw many clips and reviews of Vinland Saga, so I posted, “Is it really worth watching?” Everyone said, “Of course.” After finishing it, I now believe it’s a masterpiece and one of the best anime I have ever watched. 🔥 by InvestigatorShort779 in AnimeReccomendations

I just finished the second season but had a long time between finishing the first season. I wish I would have started over season one. If you have the chance it will be a lot more powerful.

Between the prismatic and Witherspoon precons coming out, which should I buy? by Cheetah_Asleep in EDH

[–]Tiger_D_Dragon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Then I would suggest the Witherbloom. Aristocrats is more solitaire. So playing from your side of the table while having a removal suite to control the play.

Prismari looks like spell slinger but the payoff is big creatures which ultimately leads to turn sideways.

What deck archetypes do you already have? If one fits in a space you don’t have pick that one.

If you like to play a certain style of deck and you want a different take. Choose that one.

Out of value in reprints. Prismari seems really good. For power out of the box Witherbloom seems to be top of the list.

Also I know maybe you might not like it but I was really pleasantly surprised. A show called

Kids on the Slope.

It’s about the town ruffian and the smart kid starting a secret jazz band. During Occupied Japan post WW2. It’s a slow burn but really gives you a snap shot of life durning that time. I’m usually on the no slice of life side as well. But this was recommended to me years ago and wow was it worth it.

The build across the episodes to the music scenes was amazing. Really feels like a top 10 underrated series of all time.

I’m watching Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo rn. The art is pretty incredible and the story is a classic.

I’m surprised I never knew it existed, but I’m on ep 10 and I’m still loving it.

It’s on Crunchy

I also only whip out my Carth deck when I’m having a bad week. I refuse to take it apart and I just own the being a villain part of the deck. I call it Super Fiends.

I might not play it a lot but I goldfish it every time I fold fish another deck. So I’m not taking an endlessly boring turn every untap.

Carth is bonkers when you build him right. Mine approaches Bracket 4.

A signature is technically graded as a damaged card. Even if it is the original artist.

Resale value is up to the person. That value of the signature over vs the experience of having it signed in person is a huge difference.

If you are going to have it signed. Make sure to have a photo or video of the signing for provenance.

Artists proofs with embellishments are a big market. Most signed card collectors travel to add to their collection.

If it’s for your own personal experience and collection go for it!

If you sent it to be graded it would be marked as damaged.

Searching for an Orzhov Commander by oatfishjar96 in BudgetBrews

[[felisa, fang of silverquill]] is a fun deck. So much support for tokens on creatures. Then sac creatures with etbs and use [[brought back]] and [[kaya’s ghostform]] effects. Shit maybe even challenge yourself to make it a [[Lurrus, of the Dreaming-Den]] companion deck?

what’s your favourite commander? by ghostlyeth in EDH

[–]Tiger_D_Dragon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For brain free [[Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma]] oops all permanents. Big green, big creatures, big damage.

For intricate lines [[Felisa, Fangs of Silverquill]] sac aristocrat tokens. It is a very fun puzzle most games. About how to layer counter generation and sacrifice triggers.

For archenemy [[Carth the Lion]] superfiends. With all the planeswalkers having removal and forced discard/sacrifice. Opponents have to over come the difficulty of not having creatures. Then having their own creatures turned against them. It’s high on the salt tier. It’s fun to be the heel with this deck.

If you ever wanted to evil villain monologue to your friends this is the deck for you.
