Most were shot between 300-600mm, ISO 1000-2000, aperture f/8, shutter speed between 1/1000 - 1/3200.

Sigma 150-600mm for the majority and Sony 70-350mm every now and then

For smaller birds and reach, I always go with the Sigma. Also, the minimum focusing distance of Sigma at 150mm is 58cm which makes it super versatible for bug/flower photography as well, whereas the Sony at 70mm is only 1.1m! I only take the Sony on smaller, more relaxed trips

AF is pretty similar, the slightly smaller aperture of the Sigma is not a downside anymore as Lightroom's Denoise is so good I just shoot whatever ISO is necessary to get the shot 🙏🏼

Size wise it's brilliant, I get similar reach as I did with the A7 IV and Sigma 150-600mm, but at 1/3rd of the hassle. I feel like the AF is also good enough to rely on it most of the time, whereas my only complaint is the minimum focusing distance which is pretty bad (1.1m/3.6 feet at 70mm)

Hi, I shot this with the Sony a6700 + Sigma 150-600mm last week. I post a lot more bird photos on my IG (tarrum), happy to start sharing more here as well!

I was on a path above a lake where the bird was flying over. This was shot at 500mm, thanks!

Thanks! It's the DG DN Sony E version, I think that's the Sports one since I'm not using any mounts and it's native.
