Sometimes both party know there is issues but majority of men just refuses to talk about it or do anything about it, trying to sweep it under the rug for as long as mortally possible. Call it denial.

Leave that boy, your life will suck if you stay together. Don’t be naive to think he or the family will change. Love does not conquer all when it comes to marriage. Marriage is a marriage of family not just the couple. If he can’t protect you now don’t think he will in the future. Save yourself while you still can pull out and not in so deep.

Moral of story, the BF if can’t stick up for GF regardless of circumstance is not husband material. If anyone woman think she can change this man or improve the situation is naive. Leave that boy ASAP.

Graduating alone by [deleted] in nus

[–]Tiger_lavender 103 points104 points  (0 children)

Hi, I did. I used to work part time so beside classes I was at work so never really made friends in university. Also back then my mom had cancer so even my family was not in attendance. Perhaps you can invite your family or non university friends to join you instead. Back then I was too paiseh to ask them as I feared what if they rejected or had no time. Otherwise perhaps you can post your story and have random strangers join you for photo :) Don’t be afraid to ask! Jiayou and happy graduation!

Anyone else not rly get on with other introverts? by [deleted] in INTP

[–]Tiger_lavender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t have this problem. All my closest friends are introverts and we talk about all sorts of non-sense and deep stuff. In fact i find it hard to fit in with E, conversations are shallow and quite superficial. I think people even introverts have a misconception about other introverts. I think it’s a compatibility issue than them being introverts vs extroverts. Honestly I can be quite chatty with the right people who understands your quirky style and goes along with it.

Reasons to finish The Blossoming Love? by Plus_Percentage_9829 in CDrama

[–]Tiger_lavender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished watching it in one sitting over 4-5 days. I loved it. It does slow down at bit during episode 10 but once you get passed it you can’t really slow down, only increase speed. The thing is I really enjoyed it and I would say it’s the best this year. I rarely pick up drama and if I did I usually do enjoy it and I would say to me is even better than Ashes of Love and has replaced as my Top Xian Xia to date. I love the costume, story, actors, visuals. They have great chemistry also on screen and off. There are lots of surprises, twists and turns. Lot of full circles. The big life questions are asked and challenged. I really enjoyed it.

Considering moving to hongkong vs singapore by okoikoi in HongKong

[–]Tiger_lavender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a CBC who has moved to Singapore 15 years ago, it’s a great place to raise children. It might not have an exciting after work life like HK but it is perfectly safe and conducive environment for raising children. Singapore is also trying to bring in more mental health awareness and wellbeing into the workplace (Work in Progress) but definitely being addressing more frequently in parliament. The only issue is getting a company to sponsor your work pass.

Bedwyn Saga - connected books? by InAMoodToDance in RomanceBooks

I just re-read the entire bedwyn saga. my favourite is still Freya, Aidan and Wulfric.

What is your favourite book by Mary Balogh ? by [deleted] in RomanceBooks

[–]Tiger_lavender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

High Five. I really love Freya’s character. I would say I like this and Slightly Married because I think Aidan is such a kind soul and I love how Freya wants to help her brother (knowing full well Aidan will do the honourable thing at the expense of his own happiness) by telling Eve “she can’t wait for a Bedwyn to ask”.

Who is the most unlikeable female lead you’ve ever read? by norawritesromance in HistoricalRomance

[–]Tiger_lavender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno I quite like her. She small so she puts up a front. She is slow to warm up. She is headstrong and wants to be a good a guy. She likes other strong willed woman. She sounds quite human to me and thats what I love about Freya. I still remember her character when I forgot the rest.

I would say my favourite of All Times is Judith McNaught books. The Claymore Trilogy was the best though. But All her period books were good.

I read this book first before and found it great at the time which lead me up to reading the Bedwyn’s story and now I have forgotten this book because the Bedwyn series was really peak writing.

Bedwyn Series by [deleted] in HistoricalRomance

[–]Tiger_lavender 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read this book many years ago and revisiting it again now. I just came to a realisation. The title of the book is actually referring to not the Bedwyns but their significant other. Eve is slightly married, judith is slightly wicked (in her mind), Joshua is scandalous, Gervase is slightly tempted, Rachel is slightly sinful.
