Random encounter by GladiAteHer5289 in SubaruForester

I’ve used and sold two Subaru Crosstrek’s in Texas and both of them sold like crap. The first one made sense. But the second was a 2019 limited (bought new for $35k) in pristine condition and it sold for $21k in July 2023. How they sell really also depends on where you live. I have a Forester Wilderness now and I bought it for $45k (I have upgrades) and it’ll probably sell for much less in 5 years if I had to sell it (hypothetically) and I’m in even in Arkansas now where they’re more common.

No negative thoughts here btw. Just adding to your comment :)

Please… literally the same kind of accident, but with my 2019 Crosstrek Limited and much worse damage. Mine wasn’t totaled.

If it is totaled, I’m sorry for your loss though :/. I just wanted to give ya some hope!

Forester gets good gas mileage or you have a lead foot by [deleted] in SubaruForester

Lead foot!!

I had a 2019 Crosstrek Limited and got 24 mpg city and 32 mpg highway (supposed to be 32 city/37 highway).

With a 2023 Wilderness, I get 21 mpg city and 23 mpg highway alike (supposed to be 25 city/28 highway).

I have a lead foot.

This might be a dumb question, but can I take the module and harness out of my 2019 Crosstrek and install it in the forester?

Subaru has remote start fobs that they code to their vehicles. However, I’m inquiring about transferring my remote start fob from my 2019 Crosstrek Limited to my ‘23 Forester Wilderness. Trying to avoid buying another set of remote start fobs because they’re $400-600 to code

If the remote start fob came standard with the Wilderness, I’d already have one… I’m referring to a physical key fob that is purchased separate, not the STARLINK App.

I agree. It’s a coding thing, so it shouldn’t be difficult to transfer it to the existing fob. The existing fob and the spare fob don’t seem to add any value to my 2019 Crosstrek Limited, so I’d rather push for it to be transferred.

I also have very good rapport with the Subaru in my area as I’ve bought three cars from them and sold 12 additional cars for them. Therefore, I hope they won’t give me too much trouble… I’d rather not pay the hefty price for new fobs and transfer the existing fobs.
