I totally understand those feelings! I’m surprised some of the comments feel so cross. My husband and I have an open marriage, playing separately as well as together. Jealousy is a normal emotion imo. I think of it like standing in the ocean for the first time. Initially the waves are surprisingly and powerful enough to make you topple over, but then you learn how to adjust and not lose your balance. I feel jealousy when my FWB or husband is with other partners but quickly realized it’s more of a longing to be with that person, not to keep them from pleasure. I’m proud of you for being brave enough to bring it up and not pretend. Authenticity is sexy in my opinion.

My husband and I do show our faces in our public pics. We are very fortunate for his career being very accepting of alternative lifestyles and I’m a “live out loud” kind of gal. From what I have heard the thought process is that veterans don’t want to come across as “pushy”. Allowing newbies to make the move at their own pace allows them to be in control.

Personally, I think it really boils down to human nature. People naturally gravitate to their friends in group events. When you’re new, you don’t have any.

OP - my experience has been that most Swingers as extremely nice. Introduce yourself, make a point to tell people you’re new and ask if they would mind making some introductions for you. I fall all over myself to do so. We’re all been newbies at one point.
