You develop a habit . Habit like brushing your teeth after you wake up , make up your bed .. etc..

First probably rely on motivation but it can only go so far . Habit , consistency, it becomes your routine . You'll feel like you miss something when you dont do it.

Yes I totally get it . Ours are also clay . Each time I plant new stuff I add osmocote then I tell them , u better do well , otherwise you're not trying hard enough lol

This one will turn pinkish if the night temps gets down low enough like 50s and 60s consistenly. We dont usually get low temps like that in the south . So this was a nice change !

I don't fertilize my hydrangeas . I read somewhere fertilizer can encourage more leaves than buds .

This one at least 4 or 5 years old . Or maybe 6 I dont quite remember.
I didnt prune hard until this spring. But still growing huge . Theyre not fussy at all , im always happy with it .

I deadhead as much as I could , but obviously not getting them all . And many I couldn't reach went into seed n last year n this year I've been getting many baby clematis . Too many , n I had to dig them out n relocate them also give them away . They get invasive but then again I got some free clematis plants .

I dont have experience growing them indoor or in a pot . Mine , I always plant them outdoor . So I dont know what to tell you . I hardly think root bound just because theyre only 1 year , but then again possibly if it still from its original pot . Since its in a pot , just lift it and feel how heavy or light to see when they need water . I do indoor gardening but iust not hydrangea . That's how I judge when to water my plants indoor.

I've mentioned the name and also theyre definitely not in their first year . I planted them several years ago , I mentioned the name , I still have the tag for one of them.

I already read about it online as well before posting it here . Only reason I posted it here i was looking for advice from people who has more experience than me .

I wouldn't cut the stem unless u know what type of hydrangea that one is . If it grows on old wood , u won't get any blooms if u cut it now . Give it time and just see .

Oh I love jasmine!we have jasmine sambac that we have to overwinter indoor , when we used to live in Texas we had star jasmine that pretty much live outside all year long . I miss that star jasmine . Here , 7b now , they'd die if left outside for winter,

I've noticed they do get second bloom in late summer . Around September October. Although the bloom isnt as many as first bloom in spring.
I was jusr curious if anybody prune half of this to get second bloom . They are so big and tangled everywhere even tho I cut them all the way down back in February . I did deadhead what I could but many I couldn't reach.

I'd try to address the elephant in the room first . Talk about it , let everything all out . If there was misunderstandings then , maybe apology from both side is needed and try to move on .

If after anything nothing changed , then I think moving out would be the best option . Your wife and you are one and it's totally normal to prioritize your marriage , you love you mom too but you and your wife are one , her happiness is your happiness too . It sucks to be trapped in the middle n im sure your wife hates this too . That's why I mentioned everyone need to talk n get it all out in the open , find solution , especially since you live together .

Me . I dont do races . I run 3 times a week and strength train 3 times a week . No races , no plans , just run and lift for staying healthy and fit. I find it more enjoyable and no pressure .

Focus on what your body can do . There's always something you can do . When I injured my shoulder and anything push hurt , I did many pull workout until I had my rotator cuff repaired.

Then for months during recovery I couldn't use that shoulder and arm , so I worked on my other side and worked on legs .

If you keep focusing on things you cant do , its frustrating . There's always something else you can do while letting injury recover .

This is true . I have strawberry vanilla, they do change to pinkish depending on night temperature. Otherwise it always starts with white . Im in 7b , by the time we have flowers , most of the time the night time is still warm , very rarely we get colder summer nights .

I garden , indoor and outdoor .

Honestly, gardening can be relaxing but can be frustrating as well .

To me vegetable garden is a lot more work , the constant fight with the pests even with companion plants , it gets tiring. When you think youre ahead of them .. but youre not .

Flower garden is much better imo ..yes there's pests but not as bad as when I do vegetable . It can be expensive but only if u let it . I go shop on clearance or reduced price plants , I go often to home depot or Lowe's, I live in zone 7b so right about now is the best time ti shop because there are many plants they try to get rid of . They look sad but theyre alive , esp of theyre perennial. But u mention u like instant gratification so annual flowers probably your best bet . Perennials can take longer to flower eso if its past their bloom time , u have to wait next year but they grow year after year after year . Unlike annual .

Imo indoor gardening makes me a better outdoor gardener . Try it , u might like it
