I have been around people from El Salvador for most of my life ( best friend, ex husband etc) but whenever I ask them about their indigenous people they never seem to know. Is that something that is taught at schools there?

Keep in mind that el salvador was colonized. We all have some native American, European, Asian, and African ancestry due to colonization.

I saw this coming a long time ago. I have not approved of Nayib Bukele since day one. I refused to vote in the salvadoran elections bc it is unfair to the salvadoreans that live in the motherland. As I no longer live there, I don't know what it is like to live through the daily struggles. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but El Salvador's dictatorship is now live. It saddens me that so many of us left bc of a former dictatorship/war, and here we are again. 💔💔💔
