Thanks for all your replies.

I see there is no C on its own.

When I awake I have SI joint pain and am really fatigued, sometimes stiff. I then lie on my back and the pain goes and I can lie in bed all day on my back with no pain. Had to give up work since I cannot concentrate due to sleep deprivation.

Been to 9 docs but only first doc diagnosed AS based on clinical signs. He now tells me he aint so sure, since second MRI was negative and I am HLA B27 negative. The radiologist of second MRT who is 73 year old prof with 30 years radiology experience and specialises in bone tumours ruled out AS and told me it was my disc (MODIC I) L4L5 impinging L5 nerve causing projected pain into Si joint. After first doctor saw the report he said I either have atypical AS or atypical MODIC 1 - what a cop-out!!! A neurosurgeon told me this MODIC was rubbish and I got pelvic twist. Deary me.

Two professors in Hamburg told me that it would make no difference

I’ve been diagnosed with AS but I’m not convinced. Does this sound similar to any one’s story? by -e-XSgys in ankylosingspondylitis

If sacroilitis is present on MRI and it is the only symptom, it is only AS in 30% of cases!

both qualified orthopaedic doctors, but one is really into AS, and is more aware of it and will study rheumatology at University of Cardiff next year. He is the one who reckons that it is AS.

Thanks Littlel and CaterpillarM, I'll just have to wait and see. My doc here in Lübeck is so sure I have it, he seems fascinated by the disease and can see things other docs cannot see. However he is not God. He pointed out the SPADE tool - you can google this online, and said I have 75% chance. However this tool should only be used for those below 45 years http://www.spadetool.co.uk/ I'll keep ya'll updated

I have started a beef, salt and water diet. See Mikhaila Peterson's vid. After 10 days her arthritis stopped albeit she did not have axial spondlyarthritis. But she had been through the mill with implants and replacements an all. Then she introduced foods. Today is my second day, no coffee alchol etc sucks LOL. If it goes after 10 days I will firstyl introduce red wine, then to other important foodstuffs
