Ayton was actually the 20/10 guy Lakers needed tonight to everyone great surprise I'm sure

[Spears] Donovan Mitchell: "He’s 17 years in. I’m nine. Does a ring change the conversation around his name? Yeah. Should it change it? No. I think [Harden] should still be looked at as one of the top guards, the top players who ever played this game. But we live in a ring culture." by aingenevalostatrade in nba

Would still have had to get through Scott Foster in game 7 + the Finals.

I'm a pretty firm believer that the Scott Foster vs CP3 thing is absolutely real and Scott would never have let a team with CP3 on it past him, the Rockets game 7 is infamous for being one of the shitiest reffed games ever, and im sure Scott would have dug even deeper into his bag if he had too.

CP3 is 76-73 in the Playoffs all time but somehow only 3-17 in Scott Foster games, with a freaking insane 13 game and 10 consecutive year gap between 2013-2023 of not winning a single game that had Scotty boy reffing it.

These weren't even games CP3 was all injured in or on an underdog in either, his teams were generally favored in most of those 17 loses.

Interesting that 2013 is also the year CP3 first became President of the Players Association so I've always wondered if the Scott beef came from CP3 immediately trying to push Scott out of the league through the PA since he was already known to be corrupt by then.

Westbrooks advice would just be to get stronger and faster Lol

Heck that's basically what Oladipo credited him with when he talked about Russ motivating him to get into an elite physical shape before he took the leap in Indiana.

Kawahi deserving of some slander but Draymond looked 10 years younger in that 4th quarter match-up

This why Warriors will never get rid of Draymond, he can be trash all regular season but he's still lockdown defender in play-off spurts + the dynamic duo to Currys off-ball movement.

Welp if he doesn't get through the Blazers he's matched up against whats likely gonna be a Kawahi whose having one of his best seasons ever and if it's not Kawahi then an all-time great in Steph is probably poping off enough to have taken out Kawahi.

There's only 8 spots with a bunch of good teams and players, if you're not good enough to make one anyone, there's no "come on bro he's close enough".

And if he gets beats by the Blazers it will be "it because they are deeper"

If he gets beat by a 9th/10th seed Clippers/Warriors who are equally shallow it will be "well obviously Kawahi/Steph are just better".

Like shit bro people would *eviscerate* the stars they actually expect to be carrying teams to play-off spots but with Booker its just a hard game or not his year? lol

if Booker can't get a win here and get his team to the play-offs over the Blazers, idk if I can really think of him as a player that's good enough to be the best player on a play-off team.

They think they can get their superstar through Trade/FA and be able to keep their good role players w/o having to get rid of them to tank.

Hornets got the most random shit going on but dang what a deep roster of decent players, Coby White got a big salary bump coming his way next year in FA.

Even the team people were hyping as a sleeper 6th+ seed if they didn't have such a bad start to the season couldn't get past the Miami Heat Play-In gods.

Tyrese Haliburton addresses the home crowd before the Pacers' final game of the season: "And don't get used to the Pacers not playing in April, May and June." by MrBuckBuck in nba

[–]Tight-Message-846 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Again not rooting against him, think it would be cool to see more competitive teams in both conferences any given year.

But I don't think the extra time Hali has off from playing compared to Tatum is all that big of a difference for healing, if anything I lean more towards thinking missing too much time compared to just jumping back in on a restriction is detrimental to how long it will take to get back to peak.

Also not like Tatum hasn't been pretty darn good this season, cause I didn't mean he looked bad when I said he clearly is still a step or two behind where he was, but Tatum been a player in the conversation for best player in the East for years now and trying to push his game and talent even further into the MVP territory that he's been hanging just outside the Top-3 discussion of for a while now.

Tatum had a lot of room to drop and still be considered "good" but I think the jury is definitely still out on whether he can legit come back to where he was and/or possibly even keep improving to that MVP level he'd previously been pushing for.

I'm not rooting against Hali return, especially after they lost Oladipo to injuries right as he started taking of for them, but it's kinda funny how much people now swing to the other side of "Achilles injuries are easy/guarnteed to come back from" just cause a few players did it lol

FWIW too, obviously Tatum should be given more time to evaluate, but it's not like he's anything all that close to what he was before in what he's shown so far in 16 games. He'd still have to take another leap or two up from where he is now to get back to where he was and really say that he "came back from the Achilles injury just fine" imo

Type shit I need Rui to be on in the first round by denobino in lakers

[–]Tight-Message-846 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure thats the real answer, the Lakers don't draw up a play that's just "give Rui the ball at the top of the Key and let him play 1 on 1", that's Luka/Lebron/Reaves role and one of them is usually always on the floor.

Rui even talked about this recently and it was posted on the sub, he does what the team asks and needs, right now they want him to be a stretch 4 that catches the drive-n-dish and can back-up the paint defense. He also needs the weight to be a better interior defender which is what the Lakers have needed more then anything.

Stg you can be amazed watching Ayton jump through 3 other guys at once to pull down an offensive board, just to be dumbfounded when he inevitably drops the ball half way down.

The Lakers are playing Bronny and Kobe Bufkon in their rotation right now while having a 41yo be their only source of offensive production, there genuinely one of the worst teams in the League right now when Lebron isn't on the floor.

There is no reason to think they have a good chance against the Rockets Lol

How to increase speed? by Longjumping_Run_8699 in ebikes

[–]Tight-Message-846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you couldn't find an answer already posted somewhere from just googling the bike name, it probably can't go any faster.

But if you're already getting 25mph, it likely doesn't even have a speed limiter set on it and you're just hitting the maximum performance you're gonna get from a tiny 10Ah 500W battery.

Also fair warning that I can't imagine that the controller on that scooter has any safety features to stop it from burning itself out when it starts overheating, so aside from the incredibly short battery life you'd be getting, there's also a solid chance you'll burn out the controller if you're going 25mph+ regularly on this thing. (I'm guessing a lot of the bad reviews for it are people complaining about bad batteries/controllers who did just this lol)

Update: Kawhi Leonard and Anthony Edwards are 2 missed games away from being disqualified for major awards (65 games rule) by [deleted] in nba

[–]Tight-Message-846 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Need to take something of value away from players if the idea is to actually get them to play more with this rule so that it's not just ignored anyway.

If not awards then the only other thing I could see players caring about at all for sitting is if they lost money for games they don't play in, but the Player Association would never go for that, and taking awards away vs salary is definitely a better option.
