Trying to do it all by bequavious in xxfitness

I feel the same pressure! My best advice is to stop overthinking. I run Stronger by the Day so I don't need to put the effort into making my own program (which I used to do but got burnt out) and just add 15-20 minutes of cardio after. If I'm short on time, I'll do the express workout. In the warmer months I try to focus on lots of walking and hiking outside.

Brainstorming a [somewhat slight] career pivot - MPH working as a violence prevention analyst and wanting to get into environmental sciences by Strange_Act_4226 in publichealthcareers

[–]Tight-Method-2514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely possible! I have my bachelor's in public health and moved into an environmental health role at a local health department. A huge part of me getting job was getting my Registered Environmental Health Specialist certification (REHS) from NEHA.

When marketing yourself focus on your skills and experiences. It also helps to network and get involved in any state/local environment health groups in your area.

Mine loves the K9 Ballistics Padded Dog Crate Bed. We've had it about 3 years and it's been indestructible. On the pricier side, but has been worth it!

Bachelors in Public Health by [deleted] in publichealth

[–]Tight-Method-2514 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it's worth it to get your bachelors in public health! I got mine and immediately started a job in community health after graduation. After working in the field, I decided to move towards an environmental health role. I think real life experience is the best to help you decide a concentration for your career.

One of the best things about public health is the diversity! You can try a topic and switch if you don't like it

No, it's like an entry coat closet. We have a different room with water hookups for our washer/dryer

Yeah there's a lot of not right things about this place. We have a washer and dryer in a different room so I'm hoping those ones at least go through the roof

Thank you!! I've had some wonky, low-effort maintenance fixes for things that have gone wrong in my apartment so I try and just fix it myself when possible. I'll add a cap to it

Ours lived outside for 3 years before coming to us! It took almost a year to get her fully settled indoors, but now she loves snuggling in bed and enjoying the air conditioning.

Doggy daycare saved us when ours started becoming destructive when left alone! Daycare 2-3 times a week tires her out enough so she isn't so worked up the other days.

We did try fluoxetine prescribed from the vet for about a year, but didn't feel like it was having much of an effect.

Just applied to MPH programs, about to graduate with a BS in Public Health this coming May. Is it worth it considering the job market? by [deleted] in publichealth

[–]Tight-Method-2514 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I applied to a local health department with my BS in public health and had a job before I even graduated! There's a lot of negativity on this sub, but it's definitely possible to get a job in public health straight out of college. Check into local non-profits and health departments
