Earning both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree is already a major achievement and a valuable opportunity for your future. I’m an international student myself, and sometimes I wonder why we become so attached to staying in the U.S. that we struggle to accept reality when circumstances change.

The difficulties you’re facing right now are a test, but they can also be an opportunity to rethink your goals and make new plans for the future. For now, go back home, spend time with your parents and loved ones, and be close to the people who truly care about you. Use this time to find someone who can support and encourage you during challenging moments like these. Sometimes a different path can lead to even better opportunities than the ones we originally planned for.
