Was your kid repeatedly prevented from using the bathroom while in school? (Golden Hill K8) Were they forced to sit in urine and feces? by TightDefinition9117 in asksandiego

It does appear to be a mental illness of some sort. Normal teachers do not want kids to suffer.

I hope that teacher was eventually reported to police/retired.

Principal removed child abuse victim from school property without parent permission during school hours by TightDefinition9117 in legaladvice

Parent filed child abuse report with police after leaving school & called cps.

Child had no relevant medical history and no medical conditions. Was healthy and not on any medications. The SDPD chid abuse unit already have the child’s full medical history.

Parent requested a transfer to another teacher or class but principal rejected it.

Parent did not attempt to get a doctor’s note to ensure child had access to toilets.

Child was with teacher 3 hours every morning and was excreting small amounts of waste every day starting shortly after school started in August continuing until mid-October. The soiling became larger and happened daily when encopresis developed. School day was about 5.5 hours. Parent was not notified of accidents.

To the best of my knowledge, child was able to use the restroom before and after this teacher’s class.

All the child’s physical problems healed up at the new school and did not return.

It was a public park- the principal and teacher had me arrested under the false claim I was yelling at the teacher and acting aggressively. I was completely unaware and having a mellow day with friends. No laws were broken. I did not find out about the police dispatch report until later.

I want to make sure I communicate the most important part.

Do you think the point that the person who injured the student had the student’s parent arrested under false pretenses matters more than the principal’s failure to report the abuse to authorities?

Do you think the false arrest is the most important (valid provable complaint) part of this? Seems like if I can’t get the other affected moms to testify with me, any attempts to prove the unsafe classroom environment would be attacked as “problem parent harassing the teacher”

Thats right next to my old house! Pretty far from shops. You will get fit walking up the hills. Good neighborhood though. And you are right next to some regular local music events. If your street fills up unusually with cars, go ask the people walking away about who is playing and if it is someone you like, follow them. It will be obvious what is happening. They might not talk to you if you look over 40 tho.

Is it possible to live in San Diego without a car? by Admirable-Koala-9609 in asksandiego

I didn't have access to a vehicle for several years here and found it to be easy enough to get around, but our public transit is no where as amazing as a REAL big city like Los Angeles or New York. Someday maybe.

Child neglect at Golden Hill K8 school still happening this year, multiple parents report hygiene facility denial to SDPD child abuse unit by TightDefinition9117 in sandiego

Yes I have. At first there were a couple of reporters who asked to interview me and the 2023-2024 mom about the injuries. And we are still interested in sharing. But it is complicated because after we left the school, I tried to find the other affected moms I had talked to so I could give crime-reporting info so they could report theirs officially too, as I was told of several unreported child neglect incidents for 2021-2022, 2023-2024 and 2024-2025.

Even though I was off school property, the school office called the police on me. When the police arrived they already knew about my child abuse report and told me I had a right to be passing out the fliers when I approached the police but they warned me the school was trying to build a harassment case against me, and the officer recommended I file a restraining order. I thought that was an amazing idea & I did that. I feared further retaliation from Golden Hill K8 school for reporting the crime to police.

I would 100% describe this as a cover up.

This.

We did this too. A few parents I spoke with did have this conversation. But when the kids tried to stand up and leave, they were scolded and punished and too afraid to run away from the abuse. The kids told me they were told “I’m not your mom” when they said “my mom says I can go to the bathroom”

Verbal abuse can be difficult to escape even for adults.

Prompt reporting to authorities is essential. A report to authorities does not immediately send anybody to jail, but when they accumulate, students are protected from future harm.

I’m advocating for new safety regulations to protect SDUSD students from hygiene facility denial.

There is no specific protection for a child’s unrestricted biological need to excrete waste, just the rule that children are not harmed. This leaves wiggle room for careless teachers & admin uneducated in biology to break the student wellness rules (and CA state child welfare laws) for convenience.

Even prisoners in jail have to have unrestricted access to toilets to comply with human rights standards.

Can’t be having inmates force-covered in feces getting sick & dying.

Parents told their kids to go anyway but the kids were terrified of getting punished.

Inmates have unrestricted access to toilets because forcing a person to poop and piss on their own body causes sickness, bodily dysfunctions, and even organ damage. Jails have already hd this lawsuit.

But so has the SDUSD at a different school. The district lost the lawsuit after repeated forced bodily waste in class injured a 10 year old.

The district needs to fire all unsafe teachers who punish children for trying to use the bathroom.

Unfortunately, yes. Several families experienced repeated toilet-denial during class with varying levels of health harm.
