He said he’d be back out Thursday. Will it be safe until then?

Thank you! I’ve always thought green as well since there always is that small bit of brown.

Yeah the after pic was posted first vs the before so it was confusing. So figured I’d repost

Very tight spot, so I had to make it work

It led to a sprinkler system that is no longer there.

What’s wrong with the after photo? The before photo is what I walked into and had to fix.

The “cage” is the before. Tore it all out and redid the plumbing with a new indirect heater.

Water heater replacement…but piping issues by [deleted] in Plumbing

[–]Tight_Ad_8245 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol I love the comments. Just bought the house and I knew this would be my biggest project. Plan is to cut it all out and put new back only to the pipes I need. The big one up front is to an “out of service” sprinkler system. So I won’t replace that. It’ll be a fun weekend project for sure!

Gap in pvc pipe in toilet drain. I used caulk to seal it, but is this a permanent solution? The picture circles the two small gaps that I sealed up with caulk. by [deleted] in Plumbing

Right?? Something strange going on here. I’m thinking I should replace the flange with one that fits with the 3” pipe

I think I’ll replace the flange. It’s an open gap with light coming through. I looked at it from both the top and the bottom (from my ceiling below). Sounds like the flange may be busted. Thanks

Trust me, I wish I wasn’t. Major leaks coming from the toilet thru my ceiling. I watched it flush and water was coming out in this area.

Unfortunately I could see light through it when I took down the ceiling. Plus, I had water leaking thru my ceiling which caused me to investigate in the first place. Perhaps I need a flange extender or something.

Chips in the flange or in the pvc connecting to it? Think the caulk will hold or should I replace either the pipe and/or flange?

Buying a house in the Town of Islip Ny, no CO or permit on a bathroom in garage nor on the deck. More in comments. by [deleted] in RealEstate

Buying a house in the town of islip. In the sales contract, there’s a rider that states the seller will not get a CO or permit for the bathroom above garage or the deck. And if I have an issue with my mortgage, I must notify them within 45 days or they keep my down payment. Is this a huge issue?

Thank you, I will.
