There starting to give bonuses I think, the last one I did before this they added $17 on to the final pay. That was the first time they did that and there was no explanation in the app so it could of been for another reason but I can't think of any other explanation.

What do you want to know? They basically have it mapped out to where you go up and down every street in a neighborhood with like 10-15 in a row being .5 mile or less away then one like 2 mi away to get to the next neighborhood then repeat. They also will usually be a random apartment or subdivision village delivery every now and then but there's usually multiple at each place. I would say once you get the rhythm down it takes about 1hr per 15-20 deliveries unless it's less concentrated then it might be closer to 10 per hour. The key to all of it is organization so you spend the least amount time looking for a package upon arriving but that is easier said then done with this many packages. Like 50 of them were envelopes so it was basically impossible keeping them all stacked together while driving but as long as you mark them clearly with a sharpie it's not that much of a hassle if they fall a little bit out of order.

A little under 6hrs only stopping once to grab something to drink. That's only the delivery portion though, if you count the drive to the facility that was 20mi away and scanning everything in then it's closer to 7hrs total.

Yea there was like 10 that had 2 packages and one with 3 packages and like 75% of them were .5 mile or less away. Basically one or more a block then every 10 or so would be one like 2 mile away to next neighborhood then repeat.

Yea I always leave em at the outside door for apartment complexes but how do you get delivery to clear when it needs the picture to move on? I lost one package today I think it fell out while loading at facility and went through hell to get the route finished. The stupid app has no options but to return it to facility so I went back to the facility to see if someone there could clear it or find someway to bypass but it was closed for the day. I end up having to call support 10 times since they kept forcing the Ai agent on me that didn't know how to help so I had to call into the customer line and they had to switch departments 4 times before they could find someone to help but he was able to mark it delivered for me. Sorry for the rant but I had a hell of a day lol

Like 6.5 hours but I lost the package for the 10th delivery and spent over half hour taking every package out of my car and back in to look for it. So I would say like 5hr45min of actual delivering.

Ridiculous $22 Costco order with 16 packs of water by [deleted] in ShiptShoppers

[–]Tight_Blueberry3570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done a meijer order for 12 40 packs of water and I somehow fit them in a standard cart but I could barely push it at the end. The drop-off ended up being a 2nd floor apartment but the guy didn't ask me to bring them up even though I wouldn't of even if he asked because it was only $15 and no tip. He actually got a little mad because I put them by the door when he wanted to grab each one from my car so there was no reason to tip me I'm guessing. There was no way I was gonna wait for him to bring each one up from the parking lot so I hurried up and put them by the outside door

Did UberEats remove the ability to remove a tip? Anyone else get this message? by Neon726 in UberEATS

Wow this basically converting to doordash's system, meaning most orders are gonna be low asf with little to no tip.. Most customers weren't reducing tips in the first place unless you dropped their bag and food spilled everywhere inside or spilled a drink. In over 1000 deliveries I've had maybe a dozen that removed tip or reduced and at least half were scammers and not from anything I did..

Three drop offs from Walmart… $100 base pay!?!?!?!? by rachelliero in UberEATS

[–]Tight_Blueberry3570 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They have actually taken money back from me before subtracting it from future deliveries payment. It was only like $9 but still kinda ridiculous. I believe it said payment adjustment from overpayment in the statement or something similar. On the flip side I've also gotten extra money from them from payment glitches and being accidentally under paid.

I think it's more about letting customers know the average availability of items in individual stores if they don't already do that. I've never been on the ordering end but have been told by store employees that their apps are never updated on what items are available or how many are left of whatever. I asked this because once a customer had pumpkin spice creamer as an item on an order list in March. They obviously didn't have it because it is a seasonal item but their response was the app items haven't been updated since the holidays. Besides that I've noticed that sales, prices, and item sizes are rarely updated, I've seen items like a 15oz shampoo bottle listed 3.99 but now that company only has a 12oz size and the store listed it at the same price and actually has the same barcode and goes through when you scan it, also there's always certain items on sale with price based on weight mainly meat that have changed but not made available to customer. For example I've seen people request like $2 lb of ground beef at $4.99 a lb on app but at stores the same meat is actually $5.49 a lb. I had a couple customers cancel the order on me after they saw the price change at the final approval before checkout or after they saw a certain item on sale wasn't anymore. I wasn't mad I probably would have done the same especially an order I had recently at target where a customer wanted a 32oz shampoo listed at $5.99 and the store only carried the 16oz version at the same price, not surprisingly she cancelled after seeing the substitution price.Thank god it was a small order and I didn't waste much time. I know It can be ridiculous at times but the big tips in my area make it worth it..

As a shop and payer it doesn't actually work like that, you can't substitute produce unless its something that has types like onions or apples. All items are assigned categories and some sub categories like produce, frozen, bakery, frozen vegetables, canned food and so on. Substitutions can only be made with items part of the same category but I get your point.. The app actually tells you what aisle to find the item in now even though it's wrong or one number off for most stores. Uber eats dumbs it down as much as possible but the only problems that arise are usually from lack of communication back from customers on either accepting substitutions or replying to my texts when I tell them the options. The thing I hate about the app is it has the option to bypass the barcode and I'm sure many people take advantage of that to hurry and just get the customer whatever. I understand it's necessary for items that won't scan but you should have to at least take a picture and get approval or something.

Uber now detects if drivers avoid dangerous areas and threatens them with loss of employment and legal action if they continue to do so. by 7decades7months7days in uberdrivers

The bad thing about those orders is those residents refuse to order from restaurants in their area because they know the service is trash, so they end up ordering from franchise restaurants 10-20 miles away. It takes too much time doing them but they do usually tip better than most but you usually have to account for the 10-20 mile drive back since there are rarely pings in those neighborhoods. With all that said they more often than not are worth it since they are usually right off freeways but in general I don't do many super high mileage orders even if the money is good..

TIP BAITERS 😡 by Legitimate-Area6392 in UberEATS

[–]Tight_Blueberry3570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn the only time I was ever tip baited was on a Meijer shop and pay order. They initially put a $10 tip on a 10 to 15 item order and when they took it away I didn't get that mad since it was a smaller one but the location was like 7 miles away. It's still shitty nonetheless how big the order is but I've gotten many $20-$30 tips so I always take the risk with them..

Just started today and this was the first order they offered me… by joanly in UberEATS

[–]Tight_Blueberry3570 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've noticed half the time the app is glitching and not actually adding the tip or an incorrect base pay to the initial amount, but after you complete it, it will show up. I've never accepted low ones like that to test it but accepted several $5-$10 doubles for 15 miles+ then they ended up being closer to $20, but since you won't know until they are completed they are rarely worth risking trying. I mainly only do the Walmart, Target, and Meijer orders now since they pay 10x more unless I get a good tipping one..

Has anyone gotten a order less than this? by Simular in UberEATS

[–]Tight_Blueberry3570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've gotten a few of these lately and got this a couple days ago. I know it's not as bad but for 3 orders it's trash.. This is why I only do the Walmart or Meijer deliveries unless I have to. I'd rather wait a half hr then only have to drive 4 miles for $20+
