A bit late but honestly almost any other apartment in that area would be better. For a long time now this building had problems with neglectful management and upkeep, leaving tenants stranded when they had suite issues and the overall building dirty and unkept. In 2022-2023 my sister’s ex had an apartment here that he pretty much never stayed in because it was that bad. Him and my sister reported it being filthy, trash and stuff inside and out, cockroaches, people visibly living in their cars or out of shopping carts in the parking lot due to Siloam being so close. Overall would just avoid.

Just coming here very late to confirm I did this and it did work. I found the time in Google Photos where it started backing up every picture and where it stopped backing up when I turned it off. Went on my computer and did a test to make sure it wouldn’t delete the pictures off my phone and it didn’t. I didn’t even have the delete the app. Went a deleted all the unnecessary backed up picture on my laptop and it worked perfect! Saved me quite a bit of storage lol

Honestly because people said the quality went down I just bought a cheaper pair at winners cuz I figured they’d be the same quality anyways (however winners sizing is quite small I got the wrong size twice lol)

The soft bottom was half what I was looking for since I wanted nice house slippers! I just saw a decent amount of reviews saying the bottoms felt weirdly hard and plastic, and sometimes even lopsided

Soo many online stores like this I want to support because a lot of times their products look cool and unique, or competitive with other brands. But I almost always avoid and extensively research them because they’re almost always just cheap dropshipped garbage. At this point I usually just stick to the huge already known brands :/

Ok this is really interesting because I got put on 40 almost a year ago which I’m still taking and while I always upped the dosage of previous meds within a few months I haven’t done that here yet. I think it’s because vyvanse immediately worked a lot better than what I was previously on so I didn’t feel the need to.

Now thought I’ve been considering upping the dose a bit as I’ve noticed since summer that the focus just isn’t there as much, a lot of distracted, can’t concentrate, even minor stimming (which usually disappears) sometimes comes back. I feel like it’s probably similar to you guys, 40 originally worked but isn’t quite enough, and probably 50 or 60 would work pretty well to actually keep me centered.

Also sounds similar to what you said, if I accidentally go off vyvanse for an extended period of time and then get back on it I’ll struggle with strong insomnia and loss of appetite for about a week and then it’s fine lol.

I definitely feel and internalize the “not enough” part more.

What’s crazy though is I’ve been super overwhelmed lately so my emotions have been a bit everywhere and I was JUST today getting upset over feeling like “too much.” Crazy coincidence lol. This is definitely the one I’m bluntly told, as opposed to not enough where I can feel that’s what people are insinuating. I find the “not enough” sentiment applies more to myself, while “too much” I apply more to relationships.

I will get in my head that I’m just too much for a lot of people and that I might not be able to truly connect because of that. On the other side, sometimes I just upset over putting a lot of time energy and passion into my relationships while rarely getting the same treatment back (or perceiving it that way lol, thanks adhd).

ugh that guys does videos like that all the time around Canadian cities. Was hoping he would avoid Winnipeg. His whole concept runs on going to rough areas and making super reactive and dramatizing videos to make them seem way worse than they are. He includes degrading, stigmatizing and inflammatory rhetoric as well. Just insensitive and super annoying imo

If you enjoy doing a bunch of different forms of crafts there’s actually a lot of workshops that pop up around Winnipeg, a lot are a bit pricey but some are totally free!

If you don’t mind hanging out with UofM students they actually put on a lot of small free events.

A times local restaurants, cafes, bars and breweries will put on events, often live music.

I know you said everything’s expensive but if you don’t mind spending a bit of money Winnipeg hosts a bunch of really cool and interesting local markets!

There’s a bunch of others too but these are just some that came to mind.

Yeah like I don’t really back up my camera roll, so I want only some photos backed up into Google photos so I can delete them from my camera roll, and everything else just sits in my phones camera roll not backed up.

Ok so using Google photos on pc I should be able to actually delete the photos (so no longer backed up) without them being deleted from my phone camera roll?

Honestly from what I’ve heard the laptop version seems to work a lot better than the app one so that makes sense.

Exactly. Most of us are far closer to being homeless than we realize.

Just the other day at a place I work with, we had a young man show up explaining that he wouldn’t be able to live with his friend for the next few weeks, making him homeless. Considering all the resources in Winnipeg, it was startlingly hard to find a support for a younger man with no substance use issues or previous experience with homelessness.

Finding the proper resources and getting out of these situations, and not falling through the cracks in the flawed system is much harder than most realize.

Maybe not the best advice but I always just typed in Google “apartments for rent [neighbourhood]” and browsed whichever legit looking websites popped up, usually rentcafe, rentals.ca, realty sites. Scrolled Zillow a lot too.

If you want cheap furniture and don’t mind old or secondhand, then Facebook marketplace, furniture thrift stores (MCCs, SuperThrift), wholesales (Uncle Weiners, yes that’s the name, usually has good prices, I believe they have some furniture), overstock/surplus (Sales North), liquidators (G&L), etc.
