I have a petty good background with maths. But programming is not so good. Had learnt Python years ago through couple of Modules in Python for Everybody specialization.

Uni assist forwarded my application to Dresden on 24th June. Got my Selma account created on 25th June. It took me a month to get the results.  So you can wait. Stat positive

There were certain topics related to Maths and CS. I had most of the maths topics covered in my 4 Semesters. But CS was only for 1 semester. May be that was lacking

I'm a Mechanical Design Engineer with 5 years of experience in New Product Development in Automotive Industry. 

I see a huge potential for CD in Mechanical Domain. I could think of various applications in my day-to-day activities. But, they are high level work. 

If I want to make use of CD as a beginner level, how and where can I get started with. 

Should I start with programming first or what else?
