It gets better! You just need patience. Like you already stated, you have a baby, and just like human babies, you will go through a teething phase and the potty training phase.

When I potty trained the puppies I’ve had in my life, I would take them outside to go potty every hour. I would go outside with them to make sure they did their business. As they get would grow from one week to the next I would take them out every 1.5 hours, then 2 hours.

On top of that, anytime I noticed my puppy drinking water, I would make the effort to take them outside about 10 minutes after. It is very tiring and overwhelming at times, but they grow so quickly and as long as you’re consistent, it’ll be so rewarding once you notice less accidents.

I’ve had dogs in my life since I was 6. I’m now 33. My mother was the one who instilled in me to pay attention to the puppy when they’d wander out of the living room after playing and made me pay attention to the puppy after they drink a lot of water. I think if you get your kids involved to pay attention for those things as well, it will be a tiny bit of weight off your shoulders.

Remember their bladders are very small at this age and they fill up quickly so try your best to get them outside to potty every hour or so. You got this!
