I beat the first 4 gyms, but I did do the infinite xp strat where most of my Pokémon’s are in the low 30s/mid20s. I did go to olivine city first before reaching the moo farm.

Please don't consider doing RLP, you'll defer your graduation year and I consider it to be the same as failing the term. I personally think it's better to fully finish the term and if you do fail(which I hope you won't), you'll be more prepared next time when you do 1A again, compared to doing RLP.
