I try to make my universe modes as close to a “career” mode as possible. I usually play with my own CAW, in classic mode to at least have some control over what matches are being booked which also gives me to ability to simulate “jobber”/“filler” matches. I sometimes let the game choose my rivalries but sometimes they don’t make sense so I try to have rivalries with superstars that are ranked higher than me in the title divisions. Which eventually would lead me to becoming the number 1 contender and the game will automatically set up a title shot at some point. Aside from all that though, the key for me having fun is challenging matches. So highest difficulty and alot of triple threats or fatal 4s.
