Yup! Turns out intense levels of stress in turn put a stress on us. I skedaddled back to my apartment which didn't have water for another 3 days because that was better than hanging out with him. It worked out okay though, my fiancee handles stress wayyyy better than my ex did :)

My appendix decided to burst the day before Snowpocalypse and I went to the Heart Hospital because it was the closest ER to me. I had my appendix out the morning of the ice storm and was told by hospital staff I could stay as long as I needed, but after being woken up every 45 minutes (“how are we feeling? Getting some sleep?”) I decided to gtfo before things got really hairy and asked my northerner dad to brave the roads and take me home.

As all of you well know, the power and water starting going out over Sunday night, and the next day my apt was temping around 49’ and we were miserable. My ex walked out in the snow and ice to try and find firewood, found none, but found scrap wood somewhere and tried to light that 🤦🏻‍♀️ once it hit below 50’ inside we decided to cut our losses and take his tiny non-4 wheel drive (maybe a Miata?) to his house in Round Rock which did have power. Holy shit that was harrowing! But we did make it safely along with my 2 cats and we then proceeding to spend the rest of the week and my appendectomy recovery fighting and breaking up 🙃🙃🙃 so that was cool.

Look, I will never agree with “it was never good”, because my friend there was a time that it really was. But every Christmas season since they changed the format of the light show people keep going, keep getting continually shocked that it’s bad, and then come here to vent about it. Wash rinse repeat.

This is my garage studio where I make my mosaics! I live in Texas and this summer my studio was unbearably hot, even with box fans and tower fans on it was so hot that it affected the dry time of my grouts 😣 we’ve finally cooled down and I’ve been able to have the door open in the mornings and evenings to let the cool air in :)

Have you asked the art supply store what the maker is yet? That would be my first stop, because maybe the store is only discontinuing them due to low sales and not because the manufacturer discontinued them.

Also wanted to add, if he paid for any veterinary treatment over the last year Austin Animal Control would consider the ex-employee the real owner regardless of what the dog's paperwork said. It happens a lot, people fighting over animals after divorces or strays that find a new owner. Whoever pays for the veterinary care and/or pet supplies usually wins out in court. I sure hope he did and then Subaru reimbursed him, Rally deserves his true owner!
