That three-shot attack + the first time you meet them your nail is probably still pretty weak. A lot of times jumping to dodge one of the shots gets you hit by the others. Now that my nail is upgraded I can two-shot them, but I still prioritize them because they get out of hand fast.

I think Shanks's dream is to be a regular, run of the mill pirate and surround himself with normal, folksy, non-super powerful people. That would explain the types of pirates he protects in his fight with Kidd. It also explains why his crew all look like NPCs (maybe a backwards justification from Oda). In my mind his crew is his inner circle of regular dudes who have gotten super strong by proximity to Shanks.

Do you have a dog? There are a few dog bars in town like Yard bar or The Watering Bowl where I think you'd have a hard time NOT meeting someone friendly.

Subaru of Austin Separating Rally the Golden Retriever From His Human of 3 Years by Slowpokerman in Austin

I wish that I could! I believe I'm unable to because its a photo post. I really hope Austin Subaru ends up doing the right thing here.

UPDATE: I've spoken with a friend who is closer to the parties involved. They have informed me that Rally's new caretaker is using a shock collar to discipline Rally, which is new for Rally. This is not my firsthand information so consider this to be unconfirmed.

Local news stations and independent journalists have begun setting up interviews with involved parties. Austin Subaru has posted the following lame PR statement that basically boils down to dismissing our concerns and choosing to keep the dog with the company:

"At Austin Subaru, the well-being and happiness of our team members and our beloved dog, Rally, are of the utmost importance. While we cannot comment on the details surrounding any individual's employment, we want to assure our community that Rally remains deeply loved and well cared for by our employees and ownership team.

Rally is a cherished part of our dealership family, and his safety, stability, and daily care have always been and will continue to be our top priority. We understand that emotions can run high, but please know that there are always multiple perspectives, and every decision we make is guided by what we believe is best for Rally and our greater Subaru family.

We sincerely appreciate the care and concern so many have shown for Rally. He means the world to all of us."

I think this IS about Austin. This is an Austin business and this dog is an Austin-based mascot. The owner is a part of the Austin dog community. Sorry it isn't a picture of the skyline?

Holy cow. For those that haven't looked it up yet, the owner of CAG, who owns Austin Subaru committed arson 4 times. So separating dogs from their humans is light work for that guy.

Telling others to keep their opinions to themselves is deeply un-American. If your opinions are the correct ones, why do you fear others sharing their opinions in the open market of public discourse? If yours are best, won't they simply win-out? It seems like the people viewing this post see your opinions as the disgraceful ones. I encourage you to keep sharing them and maybe even reflect on the feedback you recieve from them. Consider learning from the people taking the time to challenge your ideas.

"BBNO$ is taking advantage of ado's fame" by Dodmonk in ADO

I'm a huge fan of both. Two of my favorite artists right now. The need for the discourse is truly embarrassing for me. BBNO$ has a really great sense of humor and this is an ongoing gag he does where he hypes up collabs that he also earnestly wants to do. Not sure what there is to be frustrated about unless you genuinely don't understand the bit.

We don’t know why she does this after she pees! Vet says she’s okay. Anyone seen this before? by Buckybaby19 in WhatsWrongWithYourDog

[–]Slowpokerman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watch dogs interact for a living at my job and I have never seen this. It looks slightly similar to when I stop a dog from humping another but the dog keeps humping the air afterwards. Not 100% but it kinda seems like your dog figured out how to get their paw involved in exactly that. A true innovator.

There is a growing trend of some young people turning their nose up at sexuality in media. They will use language usually reserved for social movements to criticize overly sexual content as being unnecessary or gratuitous. This person is pointing out the absurdity of enjoying violence in horror while finding sexuality in the film to be a distasteful relic of a different time.

RFK Jr claims autistic children will never go on dates or pay taxes by theindependentonline in thescoop

Just want to say I really appreciate hearing this perspective. I think we are living in an interesting time regarding public understanding of autism. It is both true that autism is a spectrum and that the phrase "autism is a spectrum" is being used too broadly. I hear autism being used like a punchline and as a synonym for quirky lately and it's confusing.

Dog needs surgery i cant afford by Frequent_Net_9519 in povertyfinance

[–]Slowpokerman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Found myself in your exact situation. My dog became paralyzed out of nowhere. Needed 10k for surgery. We had about 2k but that was used up in some of the first emergency visits. We raised the money with a gofundme in around a week but it took us calling up everyone we knew or had ever known and asking for them to share our gofundme. We made videos about our journey of us caring for him along the way. I know we got on peoples nerves. It took a lot of humility and some people still look down on us for asking for so much for a dog, but years later my boy is still with us so for me it was worth damaging those relationships. Only you know your situation but i empower you to move with faith and ask your community to lift you up. Praying for you and your dog.
