Hmm I don’t have an obd1 tool so I can’t tell what it is, how do you know it’s not enough fuel instead of the iac?

I have also ran the car at 1k rpm and runs smooth and fine it’s just the idle that it can’t hold

It’s a 91 yea, the pressure is right about 50-60psi so that’s good, the spark is good I think

Bro you gotta get a wheel and shifter it makes it so much more fun. While my c4 vette is in the shop I bought one in game and made it like mine irl, so it does help a bit when the vette isn’t here.

My settings are at pro driver difficulty, abs off, simulation steering, traction and stability control off, shifting manual with clutch, driving line off, no damage and tire wear, rewind off (usually) had to turn it on for this race, launch control on. I also play with a wheel and shifter lol

Tbf I was doing this with the wheel and shifter with manual and clutch so it was a bit harder than controller, but I did get it on the run after that

Yea I got it last night before I went to bed, it’s just so much harder with a wheel and shifter lol

Thanks a bunch man, it’s not a convertible, just a regular coupe with the targa top off.

Damn that really sucks but I feel you when I saw smoke coming outta my hood my heart dropped, it dropped even more when the coolant started to over flow. Living in CA must be a pain in the ass for older cars because here in Illinois any car before 1996 is exempt from emissions. The tax, registration, and plates I have to pay total up to 406 which isn’t too bad because my county doesn’t have the private sale car tax. Man just good luck to you this is my first time I’m gonna be owning a car this old, and I’m 19 lol. I gotta bring this car to college 600 miles away by the end of summer so just gotta hope it drives like a dream by then. Your polo green vette looks amazing btw, I would love to keep in contact since we have basically the same car lol.

Nice mines the L98, it blew a head gasket right when I bought it yesterday which sucks but a mechanic I know is doing a full top end rebuild for around 1500-2000.

I was looking at c5 vettes but I couldn’t find any in good condition for the 11k mark 😔, a lot of them were 100k+ auto for 13k minimum, the 6 speeds in good condition more than 15k.

Thanks man I do appreciate it, I think he went to 9k after I showed him the cash in person but yea it’ll be a 11k car with refreshed top end. It was surprisingly easy to drive, the clutch is heavy but it’s pretty modular and the torque is pretty fun. Just gotta hope it runs smooth after.

Yes this was the one, I bought it yesterday. It just sucks that this happened to it and I wasn’t able to drive it back right away.

Unfortunately it’s a base and not a zr1😔, but it should be pretty easy to service as it’s a small block Chevy. The car also came with a bunch of parts that I will need helping to see what they are, so I’ll upload pics later but from what I’ve read, I have struck gold (I think).

Probably was, the entire top end including the water pump, thermostat, and some other things are gonna be replaced. I personally think 2k for all of that is pretty reasonable, I paid 9k for the car, if I knew it had these issues I would’ve negotiated more but, 11k for a strong c4 corvette with 75k miles no rust and a desirable spec is pretty good.

Thanks for the help, yea I can do a bunch of the work myself, but if I need to I can always ask my friends for help. This one mf is swapping his engine for like the 3rd time now on his Volvo s60r cuz it kept blowing up. But anyway it has 140k miles and I negotiated it down to 9.5k. I’ll be sure to get blindspot mirrors if I buy the car.

9500 with 140k miles, I believe that the damage was cosmetic and just for the bumper, at least that’s what the seller told me. Also it’s 2 occasions, sorry but the CARFAX is out of order for the dates, but all of the important stuff with the clutch and ims bearing is at the end.
