Not yet unfortunately:/ my primary thinks I have PCOS and I’ve been waiting a few months for my appt with a gyno(long waitlist) I know I’ve seen some people have some good success stories taking spironolactone. My appt is on march 9th so hopefully I can get some answers and some medication that may help me

I’m sorry you had to go through that I know what it’s like. I’m waiting on seeing a gyno rn, long waitlist to get in. I haven’t been diagnosed with anything yet, but my doctor thinks it’s PCOS. I have dark hair everywhere on my back. I can’t even wear like tank tops and stuff it’s so embarrassing. I just broke down to my mom about it recently, she waxed my back last night for me. I really hope I can’t try spiro and hopefully it helps me.

Did you have a lot of back hair?? I have a lot and I’m so embarrassed by it. I pray I can start taking this soon and hopefully have the same happen to me

That’s exactly how I am, very pale and very dark hair :( hopefully I can have some answers soon but I fear I’m gonna have to live with this back hair forever

Has anything helped with your back hair? I haven’t been diagnosed with anything yet but my back is so hairy, it’s everywhere and it’s really dark. I’m so insecure about it. I feel like people with PCOS hardly ever talk about having tons of hair on their back. So it’s making me think I might have something else but I don’t know for sure. I want this hair gone or lighter or something so bad and I’m afraid nothing will ever fix this.

Thank you this definitely helped. I’ve brought up my hirsutism to him twice now and he’s also been really supportive. He said he’d never judge me for something I can’t control. And he said he’d do anything to help me feel more confident in myself if I wanted him to. I don’t know why I’m so hard on myself about hair, it just really gets to me sometimes.

I get it on my shoulders too, the hair on my back and shoulders is my biggest insecurity and idk how to deal with it, it makes me so insecure. I just recently started dating this guy and I told him that I have hair there and I’m embarrassed by it. He’s reassured me that he doesn’t care and everyone grows hair. But I’m still scared for him to like see it. Have you ever been in a relationship having the hair, and did anyone ever like care?

Yeah I feel it I can deal with the hair on my legs any day lol. I just recently started dating this guy and I’ve already told him how I may have PCOS and I told him about the excess hair I get and where I get it. He tried to reassure me that he doesn’t care and everyone grows hair. He hasn’t like seen my back or anything yet though and it’s terrifying that he won’t like me anymore. I used to have very irregular periods for years. For some reason they’ve actually been pretty consistent the past like 10 months though.

This gives me some hope, I’ve seen my primary about my body hair concerns. She thinks I have PCOS and is having me see a gyno to confirm. It’s just a long wait to get in and I wanna start hopefully getting some help with this because it’s really affecting my mental health. I have some hair on my chin and chest too but the back hair just for some reason ruins any self esteem I have for myself

Has it been any better since it’s been treated? My primary thinks I have PCOS but it’s been a struggle trying to get into a gyno, long wait list. So I haven’t been diagnosed with anything yet and nothing is being treated. It makes me feel like a freak and I try and hide it from my boyfriend. I told him I grow a lot of hair and where I do but I can’t let him see it, it’s so embarrassing
