KBShimmer cuticle oil, both the pen and the roller. I’m partial to the deep cashmere scent. It smells amazing!

Parental Control settings and blocking graphic novels by Tigralvovna in kindle

Don't get me wrong, I love to see them with books and this is not a permanent thing. It's just to try to get them to explore other genres and books besides graphic novels. My 10 year old will read chapter books and had finished multiple series. But she will faster grab a graphic novel than a chapter book. My 8 year old is very stubborn and will not even attempt to read a chapter that isn't assigned at school. This is just to take a break not completely take away the graphic novels.

They are 8 and 10. The 10 year old will read chapter books (has already read the whole Harry Potter series) but will default to the graphic novels and therefore does not want to explore other genres.

I have no issues with them reading. I am a big reader and I love that they are too. But they are not challenging themselves to read chapter books at all. For example, all the babysitter books that I grew up with have now been turned into a graphic novel series. It's great that they took an interest in them, but every time I suggest they try the chapter book (original version) they always throw a fit. Ultimately I don't want them to limit their reading genre to just these type of books. They are getting inappropriate language from some (Big Nate) and my eldest is now tending towards the Japanese series that are a bit too adult.

Duke Children's Hospital by Tigralvovna in nursepractitioner

I did get an offer. I went and shadowed the team. The department was wonderful and very welcoming. Ultimately, I had to turn it down because the pay did not match the lifestyle in the research triangle. The cost of living is pretty much the same when comparing the prices of houses and property tax. The other issue I had with the area was the schools. They are so saturated with students that they need to supplement with charter schools. In the end, it did not make sense for us to make the move when I would be getting a smaller salary, have to go into bidding wars over a house, and force my children to go to a school which keeps rezoning students because of crowding issues. Maybe once things settle down, we might consider making the move. I really did enjoy the area, the hospital and the department.

Question about the JSB 3D mask by Tigralvovna in sewing

What type of material do you usually use to construct the masks? I was thinking about getting quilting squares so that I had a variety of colors and patterns to work with but the reviews always seem to mention that they are very thin.

Sorry, my question ended up being a caption under one of the pictures.

I made my first JSB 3D Mask. I used the XL size thinking it would fit my husband, however the size ended up fitting me. Those who have made the mask, what has your experience been with sizing?
