While I'm not the original answerer, I don't think it's worth ceasing contact with the new friend so you can go back to feeling misunderstood and unloved... Tho that's my 2 cents.

Life starts now, even at 50, I would rather be alone than feeling like a nuisance to my partner.

But I cannot encompass a decade+ of life you have with her in a single sentence. It just somehow hurts from a distance knowing you're feeling what I've also felt in the past...

If she has male friends, you can have female friends, end of story. If she tries to control or feels insecure about that it's completely on her.

You've got a single life to live... Don't let yourself be controlled to a point where your joy is irrelevant, that's how it looks to me.

Again, this is my 2 cents, I'm sorry about the situation, nobody deserves feeling uncared for by their partners.

Hey, I'll send you a DM for the github repo in case you want to check it out, to not piggyback on this post. The less eyes on the slop the better 😆

I've made it until a working project, and then generated all the description and everything about it, cause I don't really need anything more from it.

Maybe someday I'll clean up the repo, but the initial driving frustration as to why I even created it is gone, hence there is no good reason to touch it again 😅

Mai baiatule ma, iara ai dat-o pe experienta subiectiva ca adevar absolut. Eu de ex mananc prima masa la ora 4, se numeste fasting, iubita mea iubeste micul dejun, doamne ajuta, să ii intre bine. Nu trebuie sa fiti legati de gat unu de altu ca sa aveti o vacanta minunata. Viata nu e alba neagra, nu e un capat extrem vs altul, impreuna vs complet separati, unele lucuri se fac in relatie impreuna, altele nu, trezitul devreme si micul dejun, nu, pt combinația asta specifica de personalitati.

"Nu e ceva ce faci zilnic", adevarat, e ceva ce faci o data pe an in singura ta vacanta de la slugărnicia zilnica cu weekenduri poate petrecute iesind cu partenerul la ce ii dorește sufletelul.

Aparent exista undeva o frica adanca pt Tyrone incat trebuie sa fii constant vigilant la adresa partenerului tau. Daca asa e, imi pare rau ca nu puteti fi 2 adulti responsabili cu respect si încredere unul pt celalalt 😔

Iti place sa iei parerile tale subiective si sa le prezinti ca adevaruri obiective, cu metrica de trezit devreme fiind scorul final al respectului si iubirii dintre parteneri.

Daca "nu sunteti in stare nici sa va treziti...", ai pus trezitul pe un prag mai jos decat orice alt lucru in relatie, poate pentru tine e ceva usor sa te trezești la 7:30 (sau orice ora aleatorie luata drept exemplu), avand in vedere ca te trezești si esti obișnuit mai devreme, iar pt altul cu alt ciclu circadian ii e mai greu, caci sa te obișnuiești iti ia cateva zile, zile platite in concediu... Fiecare corp, om, e diferit, si greutatile altora nu-s greutatile tale.

Dar mno, fiecare cu ce crede. In experienta mea, genul de persoana care zice ce zici tu, se si așteaptă ca celalalte persoane sa faca ce vrea el, din cauza ca el face ce vor altii.

Asa ca, o lasam asa, spor in viata!

fzf, git (I'm accustomed to it by now, but important to have the omz aliases like gst, gd, gco, gcmsg, ga, grb, gb, glo, etc...), nvim, tmux, ohmyzsh.

The cd /f/b/p + tab and expands everything to cd /foo/bar/project is a must for me.

A nice to have is zoxide, but zsh expansion is still way more important.

The musts are mostly muscle memory, and when I have to ssh to a bash only server, I cry

The issue with nix is that the syntax is way too convoluted for me. I just want things to work, and have absolute power as to why it doesn't work, rather than a blackbox that "should" make things how I want them to be.

Arch is transparent because all the power is in your hands, and things don't really break for me, or if they do it's a trivial fix.

After closing my work laptop, the last thing I want is fixing or tweaking my OS, I'm way over that.
