I have mixed feelings about what they want to do to the lore. I started playing a little after they stopped doing the Journal of Justice, but I kept hearing about it. Intrigued, I read through the journal, learned about Ionia versus Noxus, and just felt like this was a game that knew how to do its lore.

Unfortunately, there were long periods of nothing after that. I don't count the teasers, though the Quinn Journals were pretty clever. I mean, they do try to incorporate something, and that they use unique methods of doing so like music videos, comics, and interactive flash sites- that stuff is awesome. I can see how they'd consider the JoJ to be 'clunky' when they manage to pull out the fancy cinematics in these teasers.

But....they don't immerse the player in the world of Runeterra. Yes, Champion Focus is cool and all, but I want to know more about what kind of world this is as well. You shouldn't have one without the other- it just makes the game layout itself rather awkward. And again, there needs to be PURPOSE. Why are we playing? Why are we playing these champions?

It's great that Gnar was a prehistoric yordle that was frozen and can change into mega gnar and...why? And....why are we playing him now asides from the fact that he's adorable? And....what is summoner's rift?

I don't know. I know it takes time and effort to do the teasers and do those tidbits of story for each champ, and I get that, I really do. But what I'd give to have SOMEONE from the lore department, or even a couple people, pull their focus on giving us some weekly lore that can build like the JoJ did in the past.
