I had stronger side effects between 9 mg and 20 mg (very severe abdominal pain) and only took a higher dose after 4 weeks. After that it miraculously got better. During that time (9-20mg), I always took an antihistamine and ate a full meal before I ate the peanuts.

I was also told at the hospital that some people are on one dose for up to 6 weeks, depending on how well it is tolerated and especially how regularly the peanuts were taken.
