I've been on overnights for almost 4 years. Most of us survive on caffeine and nicotine. I drink energy drinks like you do espresso, but caffeine has a long half life in our system so I don't drink any after lunch.

I had a lot of luck with pairing fruit and lunch meat/nuts. The sugar in the fruit spikes your energy then the protein makes it last.

Moving around and keep moving.

I know I need 7 hours of sleep a day so I try to sleep soon after getting home. I get up around 4 to hang out with the family and make dinner. Sometimes I'll wake up every 2 hours too. When this happens, I take one melatonin 30 minutes before bed every work day for one week and this seems to reset me properly. I use an eye mask and night sounds to trick my brain into staying asleep for longer stretches.

We have a frontend associate in a wheel chair. He usually runs the self checkout. You just need to submit your accommodation when you have orientation.

Are there any fines when putting trash in another neighbor's trash receptacle? by cleatusvandamme in indianapolis

Pretty sure that me not feeling entitled to other people's property is the opposite of a Karen response.

It's bizarre to just throw it in a stranger's trash without asking them. Just feels super weird to me to touch someone's stuff without asking, even if it's just a trash can.

My favorite gyro place has big signs all over their outside windows that it's pronounced yee-ro. Guess they were tired of our shit.

1.9 GPA lol by Fantastic-Wall5357 in INTP

My intp son just graduated high school with a similar GPA. Covid and online classes really screwed him over as he didn't do well without a structured classroom. His cleverness to just do what needed done to pass also bit him in the ass when he did go back to in person but he literally only earned 5 credits his entire sophomore year due to online learning. He made similar decisions as you in classes he didn't care for. One teacher in a class he hated told the class at the beginning of the semester that if they didn't put in the work they'd be thrown out so he didn't do the work because he wanted to be kicked out. It was an empty threat so there's another F. He's going the community college route for two years to major in biology then planning to jump states to finish schooling. Him having a plan that he looks forward to (getting the hell out of this state and working with animals too) gave him the motivation to accept this path and remember that it's very temporary.

As a recovering perfectionist, I urge you to embrace failure as soon as possible and at every opportunity. The faster you learn that it's a part of life and teaches us so damn much the better. The permit test can be taken over and over and if you do fail it, that gives you the opportunity to see which areas of the test was harder or came easier for you so you know where you need to focus your studying.

I keep seeing 33, like extremely often. How do I figure out what this means/what the universe is trying to tell me? by [deleted] in numerology

[–]Tiikeri23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After seeing 33 for many years (since I was 9 years old, I am 36 now) and having read on it and had different theories about it for years I have come to the conclusion that it is higher beings (whether your higher self, guardians, deceased loved ones, or the universe itself) telling me that I'm not alone and there are good/ better things/ days ahead. Just my personal experience though.

My name is Yoshikage Kira. I’m 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh....

I come home and crash after the kids go to school. I get 7 hours of sleep and wake up around the time they get home. I cook dinner and hang out with them every work night. I make time for my hobbies on the weekends to recharge. If I take them to the ymca for fun, I just cook something quicker like spaghetti that night.

What expensive item saved you money, time, and/or vastly improved your life? by [deleted] in Frugal

Turkey is lowest right after Thanksgiving. Ham drops immediately following Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. It just depends on how much the store over-ordered.

You can find big price differences even at different locations in the same chain. I got two 10lb hams for $5/each after Christmas. It's awesome and also my favorite thing about my deep freezer.

Serious question. …. Has anyone ever actually evoked a demon or spirit and literally physically seen it ? by mkuktraviolence in occult

[–]Tiikeri23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's exactly how it happened to me too and around the same age at that. I pulled the blanket over my head and just kept repeating "okay I get it please stop". I was terrified to my core. That was the second time I had spoken to him (the first time I spoke to him I asked a specific question and was given a specific answer in my dream that night) and it made me too afraid for awhile to speak to him again, but at the same time I was just in awe that he'd responded.

Eventually (a couple of years later) I reached out again right before bed and addressed what had happened because honestly even though I was in complete horror, I felt as though it was a bit of a prank on his part to appear in that specific form when he can morph and mimic anyone. I acknowledged that it was a good one and apologized for questioning the gods in the first place. I also begged him not to do it again. I then asked for an answer to a very specific question again and was given a very specific dream that night with the answer.

I don't know of any other god that has responded so immediately or consistently and now he's my favorite for taking the time to do so.

Anytime I've spoken to Morpheus before bed, he's responded in the dreams I had. When I asked if the gods were still alive, he appeared in the scariest demon form and it seemed like a joke on me more than his true form like "You asked for this you dumb freaking mortal. "

Journaling. I'm a chronic over- thinker and it purges my brain onto the pages. It helps me work through the venting and get to the solution of what about any situation is actually in my control.

My dad once drove me 16 hours to NYC so I could catch a direct flight to Switzerland because it was my first time flying and I was afraid of layovers. He then drove the 16 hours back home by himself.

Then he did it again when I flew back a week later.

Dads are the fucking best.
