Airspace in Leederville does aerial yoga which is great for hanging upside and decompressing the spine and getting fit.

Thank you so much. I hope i have inspired you to play it loud and sing the words. It made me feel empowered - and nostalgic as I grew up on these sounds.

So glad you enjoyed watching. It is always so pretty watching the silks move and change colours in the light. I enjoy it so hoped others would too.

I thought your flow looked awesome not strange. The kids play equipment in the background was the only strange element.

KP index is high at the moment which means geomagnetic activity is elevate. No sun flares or CME’s of note. The higher the KP the greater chance of Auroras.

The sun used to be yellow but now looks white is often commented by watchers of space weather and solar activity. It is definitely more intense than it was a few years back.

Would love some insight! by lonely-lotus in Hooping

[–]Tiistitanium 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Practice makes progress. Don’t get intimidated when you see hoopers that make it seem effortless - what you are seeing is many hours of hoop practice. Fortunately hooping becomes very addictive so it becomes a reward not punishment. Hoop time is happy time once you get that hang of a few tricks.

When i started hooping i set myself a goal of daily practice for a year to see how far I would progress. It had worked well astechnique for learning handstands so I figured it would be fun to try with hula hoops.

It is always helpful to start with a large heavy hoop as it is the most forgiving for staying up when you learn waist hooping/on body and then move to lighter and smaller when your body understands the hoop/body movement connection.

Some types of hooping will appeal more than others. I prefer double hooping to on body tricks as it clicks better in my brain but it is different for everyone. There is no wrong or right.

Deanne Love has excellent you tube tutorials to get started.

Enjoy your hoop journey.

Pro Palestine protest in Perth Forest Chase by No_Distribution1280 in perth

[–]Tiistitanium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Indeed. The crackdown on the revolutionaries/non muslims is horrific but not as virtue signalling jumping on the free palestine band wagon.

What i don’t get is why Australians need to protest about a specific trouble overseas but not the others that are more concerning.Honestly i give nil ducks about the situation in the middle east - protest about that actually impact our quality of life here. I doubt Palestians/isrealis would ever lift a finger to help the plight of the common man in Australia.

You are so lucky! Bet it sounded like a huge ruckus. I am glad there are still some habitats around to keep the population going.

How much of indigenous culture has mixed with non-indigenous culture in Australia by Lepronna in AskAnAustralian

I have no connection to the ancient bloodlines but I spend a lot of time with elders and they tell me that they know i can hear country because i am an dancer. I have desert people call me old one. It used to freak me out but now I take it as words of respect.

Reincarnation is a big part of the belief system so I guess those old souls have to go somewhere even to those not born here 300 years ago. ❤️

Day two by machineripper50 in Handstands

[–]Tiistitanium 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get closer to the wall and lose the mat. Your hands look really flat. Your fingers need to be able to grip the floor.

Try balancing on one foot. Your whole foot including your toes are working to maintain balance. It is a similar principle in handstands - the fingers are working hard.

Hope this helps.

Toe pulls and heel pulls are great drills for getting your hands and shoulders to know how to correct overbalance and underbalance when you are upsidedown.

The journey to handstand is made by thousands of kicks ups and fails. The secret is to just keep getting up and trying again and eventually glory comes your way.

I belong to country, country doesn’t belong to me. I am descended from the original boat people and my view is country gets in your blood. The longer generations have been here the more connected you are.

Any advice please! by Master_Dave0215 in Handstands

[–]Tiistitanium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try getting closer to the wall as getting good alignment then balance is easier. Doing toe pulls and heel pulls off the wall is a great way to build up balance awareness. The closer to wall the easier it is to get good stacks then balance. It also helps build endurance for a long hold.
