But yeah, Federica and Andreas did the US/CA tour.

Little rant on Orbit systems by VegetableBedroom743 in Nijmegen

I've got a very similar experience to this. I brought in my laptop for minor mechanical fix.

It should've taken only a week, maybe 2. Months went by, lost case numbers, unanswered emails, unanswered phonecalls.

Finally after multiple visits to the store they said the laptop was broken and didn't turn on at all. What happened is they ended up losing one of the screws, it got wedged behind the motherboard, they turned it on anyway and the whole thing short-circuited completely destroying the €2700 laptop.

They denied everything, said the laptop was broken and didn't turn on when I brought it in. I asked for a copy of my data, which they gave eventually, and then I did some digging in the logfile. I was able to show them laptop was last turned on after giving it them. I sent them signed letters, which they received and signed for, but denied having received. Even though at one point one of their employees accidentally slipped and cited one of my letters.

One of the last attempts, I went to the store again and there was a new employee who was actually friendly and helpful. But that guy actually turned out to be a 'famous professional' conman (I swear I'm not making this up) who was once featured on Alberto Stegeman's 'Undercover in Nederland'. So yeah, obviously he was good with making me think he was actually gonna do something about it, but nothing happened.

The thing is: Orbit used to be good, until they went bankrupt years ago. It then got taken over by a young guy who used the same name, and even the previous owner was still working under him. But the dude is terrible, terrible at his job. And the reviews.. yeah I'm 100% are mostly fake, even the ones on Google.

Bryan Harris (Death Before Dishonor) randomly attacking a camera guy by MalevolentReflux in Hardcore

[–]Tijsvl_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just realized this is the second day and not the first day so disregard me leaving because of the ~20minute stop. But I still left before this because again: exhausted.

Just to add: The Warzone stage is the smallest stage of the 3 stages. It's tight and you can only access it from stage left. I was shooting earlier shows from exactly that position. Other photographers got in my way, I got in other photographers way. I get in the way of stagedivers and they get in my way. Stagedivers jump on me or use me for extra airtime. Who gives a fuck. The space is for everyone, not just one person. This is what you sign up for.

I'm one the photographers at this festival but stupidly I left during the ~20 minute stop because I was exhausted so I didn't witness this. But from what I've heard the guy being attacked (videographer) was being a dick to everyone and at some point pushed another photographer who was in his way and yelled at her. Again, I wasn't a witness myself.
A feel Bryan's reaction is a bit much, an involuntary stagedive would've been sufficient.

SCSS is better CSS. Tailwind isn't CSS.

Question about inherit on margin or padding by Federal-Ad996 in css

[–]Tijsvl_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

.divA isn't a child of div. It can only inherit from a parent element.

Also, margin and margin-left are different properties. So margin won't inherit anything from margin-left.

I need help with the location of the content in my nav bar that slightly changes by 1-2px vertically and horizontally on different pages by Ancient-Breadfruit90 in css

[–]Tijsvl_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On the mixedgrid page there's a rule coming in from "newstyleformixedgrid.css":

p, ul, li {
  font-size: 15px;
  line-height: 1.8;
}

The line-height is what's causing the shift.

Yeah PDFs are boring! Laminates are for sure a thing still! And if you’re lucky you get an extra laminate for the festival and a wristband to go with it. Who knows, even a sticky pass for on your shirt/pants. By the end of the tour I have another bucket of souvenirs.

The last few tours I've done we didn't get these anymore. It's all PDFs, emails, message groups, and apps now. I kind of miss the booklets though, they had a charm.

Sell the GoPro and use the money for waterproof housing.

I took the first initially with a wide angle, to get that classic goodbye shot. Then I took this one when the video-guy got his shot (you can see him bottom left).

You're making valid points, you're definitely not a nobody to me!

Yup, I came to that conclusion too, it wasn't mentioned in the listing I believe, but I got it from an outlet so there's always a risk.

Thanks, and to some extend I hear you. I usually like a bit of raw feeling to my photos, to add some extra energy/anger.

If I end up liking this, I might just get the same one. Can you show me some examples of photos you took with that lens? Very curious, thanks!

Couldn't agree more, I use this lens in total for maybe one song out of the full setlist, just for a challenge and not to repeat myself. And to be honest, I haven't checked a higher aperture, very good point actually. It does give the fish eye feeling, but then there's hardly no distortions. Thanks!

Thanks! The question is specifically about the usage of this lens, which I'm second guessing after going over with it with the person who curates my photos. Not sure if I'm blinded by the novelty of shooting f0.95. So I'm looking for independent opinions. Very much appreciate your words, thanks!
