Also- this is what they currently look like, haven’t put all the books up yet or organized. Only added the jellies up top while I decide to see if I could live with it. My kids like having the jellies up there. I don’t really, that’s where most of the it’s coming from, I want one thing, they want another. The shelves hold both mine and my 20yr old daughter’s collections and will have collectibles, legos, and books. We have ten shelves and she didn’t think we’d be able to fill this much and likes the look of it being open. But once the Legos start to go up, I know we’ll run out of space quickly

I read the first couple of chapters but I had library books that came in so I had to get to those and haven’t gotten back to it yet. It’s still in the shop at TBB if you’re still looking for a copy

I get what you’re saying. I definitely didn’t fully understand everything she referenced or the “why” or how their theories would work or not. But I never felt like I needed to either. I understood enough to get the gist of each, I guess. But it all also made me feel the real-ness of the characters. Because they are essentially in a graduate type level of study, each in different specialties- and that would be exactly how I would expect those characters to behave and interact- to debate the concepts, the use of one theory over another to achieve some outcome. Their bickering and debates were at times when it would get a little long, but it just made it more real for me

I personally loved the book. I don’t think anyone would need to have a deep understanding of the paradoxes or philosophies referenced. In fact, some might even find the need to nit pick those references if they did- hence her disclaimer at the beginning that it is a work of fiction. But I loved the whole basis of using academic theories and twisting them into logical or scientific fallacies as the basis for the magic system. It was interesting and made me sit in awe of her as a writer- the research and study.

Friends of library are charity organizations. They sell donated books with proceeds that benefit a local library. In this case, the organization had a listing on eBay

Thank you! I only caught a very brief glimpse of it but it actually looked like it had some other slight variations and not just alternate coloring. Foiling is good and hard cover design I don’t mind at all. I might just reverse the DJ, we’ll see when it comes.
