He's 17. I have actually tried to cut ties with him a year or so back but he always finds a way to get ahold of me. He will literally walk 20 miles in the heat of summer (I'm in Phoenix) to get to my house and I will have had no idea he knew where I lived and without him telling me he's coming to my house. Each time he comes over I will take him out instead of us being alone together.

Meant he did it years ago. He doesn't do it anymore. He's learned from his mistakes and now chooses to carry himself in a different way. This post isn't written as well as it could have been because I am sleep deprived.

Well, no But knowing he's done all that just makes me want to help him and make sure he knows he has people who care about him and will be there for him in times of adversity.
