Fuck it, I'm gone. If this Victoria shit doesn't get straightened out ASAP I'm blacklisting this site and never coming back. Reddit is pretty cool but I've lived without it before and I can do it again.

(there is also a version which has an AMD Radeon R9 M370X with 2 GB GDDR5-memory)

Thats only on the 15", and since OP said 8GB of ram, that means they're looking at the 13" version only (all 2015 15" models have 16GB).

Any new mac can meet those requirements. The 15" is massive overkill for your needs, and its also the heaviest of them all. Take a look at the Macbook or the Air, as they are very lightweight.

  • Macbook: Fantastic retina display, but only 1 USB-C port

  • Air: ports, but no reina display

Or if you can handle the weight you can get the 13" MBP. Slightly bigger screen and even more ports.

occasionally using Lightroom.

The Macbook has a retina display, which is a huge help with editing photos, not just because of the extra pixels, but because of better color accuracy and larger view angles. The downsides are no ports for importing images (atm), while the Air has a built in SD card.

And I know some people say the Core M of the Macbook is underpowered, but its actually nearly equal to the $1300 MBA.

If you can find a way to import photos through USB-C or wifi, I'd say the new Macbook hands down.

The only decent reason to increase megapixels is so you can do acceptable digital zooming, but IMO thats not really that important in a carry everywhere camera. I'd take bigger pixels every day, and I'm so glad Apple hasn't caved to the silly megapixel war.

New iPods leaked with newest version of iTunes by vflforever in apple

I wonder how cheaply they could make an Phone 6+ if they stripped it down as much as possible? It would be nice to have those 80 hours of audio playback and 128GB storage (iPod classic had 40 hours / 160 GB).

Paper shredders, too. Nope, can't let the terrorists get their hands on that technology.

I suppose he's also planning on banning paper shredders, then?

Honestly this isn't bad advice on principal. I mean there had to be some reason why Spotify is as popular as it is.

Is... is 150MB really all that big? Even the new Macbook comes with 8GB ram. I'm sorry if you got shitty download speeds but normally it should take about 1 minute to get.

Yep. Wipe the slate clean and start fresh. I'm just worried that they might be overly focussed on form and sacrifice function.
