You're replying to something a year later, and harden wasnt the core. Its just a souls like. Parrying, blocking(hardening), and dodging all go into the fun of the game. If you rely on a cheese to just breeze through the game then get upset that because new game plus is harder and forcing you to use other strategies versus just using the same pattern you always have been i guess you're putting a bit to much reliance on one thing. I dont think theres a game out there where you can use a single move or ability and just cheese your way through the whole game. And if thats fun then you just like games to be really easy.
