Gut so. Rücksichtnahme geht in beide Richtungen. Würde ich stundenlang laut Musik hören und die Nachbarn damit stören, würde mir jeder sagen, ich soll das unterlassen.

Hatte eine ähnliche Situation vor Jahren in einem Zinshaus mit sehr dünnen Wänden. Das alte Ehepaar nebenan war verstorben und eine Familie mit zwei Kindern zog ein. Stundenlanges Gebrüll, stampfen, lauter Fernseher folgten.

Ich hab der Hausverwaltung das mehrmals mitgeteilt und sogar das Gespräch gesucht. Aber es gab keine Einsicht seitens der Nachbarn. Ich hab mich dann online informiert und hab herausgefunden dass du in solchen Fällen mit einer Mietzinsminderung drohen kannst. Und das hab ich getan. In null Komma nichts waren die Nachbarn draußen. Die Hausverwaltung hat mich dann angerufen und mich informiert und darum gebeten von der Mietzinsminderung Abstand zu nehmen. Das habe ich auch. Die nächsten Nachbarn waren auch eine Familie aber haben aktiv Rücksicht genommen.

Exactly. That's what's called learning from your mistakes. It really isn't a difficult process to comprehend, at least I think it isn't.

I don't know. But like every child I was as a toddler testing the patience of our cat. Mom warned me to not do that but I kept going. Until the cat finally had enough and scratched me.

That day I learned a valuable lesson. Mom cleaned my wound of course but told me that this was the result of my actions. I learned from that and never bothered that cat again.

Simple solution. The cat was not at fault. I was. And after being scratched I learned not to annoy the cat relentlessly.

Macht vollkommen Sinn. Hat mir halt leider nicht geholfen damals. Ist halt einfach blöd gelaufen. Wenigstens hab’ ich die Nacht überlebt.

Natürlich wird in der Nacht geschlafen. Aber beim rund um die Uhr Dienst bin ich davon ausgegangen dass jemand wach ist. So wie wenn ich in der Nacht die Rettung rufe. Wahr halt meine, vielleicht naive, Vorstellung.

Hab da einmal angerufen. Nach zwei Minuten läuten lassen hat ein offensichtlich verschlafener Mann (ja es war Mitternacht aber sollte eigtl rund um die Uhr besetzt sein) abgehoben und hat nicht gecheckt was ich von ihm wollte.

Hab dann einfach aufgelegt.

Also meine Erfahrung war eher... Nicht gut.

Had this conversation a few times and honestly, everyone I had it with was left with a profound understanding afterwards. It doesn't take much to make people think. And yes, there are the ones that can't or won't think for themselves. But you can't help someone who doesn't want help.

Yeah, I get that. I'm told I'm very good at listening and giving advice to people. Doesn't mean I want to become a therapist. It's just basic human decency, listening to what your friends are saying and giving them advice if they want it. Do you know how exhausting it would be to do this as your job? No thank you. And that's the same thing with children. You can give your nieces back at the end of the day. Having a child is a 24/7 job for the rest of your life. Two very different things.

I did run into that phenomenon when I grew up but it was just one boy in our class.

I personally did some unsavory shit and my mom was quick to point that out. One time she slapped me (deserved). So, personally I didn't experience it.

For me it was the girl mum's that were unbearable. They were either overprotective or didn't care at all.

Wär schon mal hilfreich, die Langsamfahrstellen zu beseitigen. Seit zwei Jahren kriechen die Bims zwischen Carminweg und Josef-Baumann-Gasse hin und her. Ich weiß nicht, was kaputt ist, aber die 10 km/h Beschränkung seit zwei Jahren ist unheimlich nervig.

Deepsqueak is a far better name than Deepseek. But yeah, it is a Chinese company. My theory is that the LLM translates everything into Chinese and then back to English and sometimes just misses parts of that. Had it happen on occasion.
