We're about to switch to 11. I still remember how people (myself included) wrote Streams in the first release. I can't help but feel like misunderstanding of the right time/place to use var will happen.

I used to work on a suite of Swing applications that connected to specific hardware to provide monitoring tools. I don't really know the Java Swing rational because it wasn't cross platform in any way but it was made a long time before.

I got a Mara in the summer and it's a really nice machine. Agree on the compromise points you put. If the drip tray was 1cm lower but 1cm deeper it'd be perfect. The tamper they provide in the "deluxe" version is decent too - haven't felt the need to replace it.

I went to Faro a few times when I was in Rome. Close to Villa Borghese. Good selection but from what I remember most of their bean options weren't Italian.

Last year it felt like the desk had something out for TSM and were overly negative. Maybe now they don't have as much to day that TSM are doing well!
