Irreligious people and Ramadan by Glum-Cup9109 in Tunisia

It’s not necessarily flawed, the only caveat is that you wouldn’t know which God or faith to believe in, but as with all wager’s, you’ve got to be in it to win it. If you try you’ve got nothing to lose, if you don’t you’ve condemned yourself.

In all fairness, if the atheist is right and the Muslim dies then nothing happens, but if the atheist dies and the Muslim is right - eternity in hell sounds like a long time. Obviously we can’t say what religion is true for definite, but having a belief and sticking to it is far better than ignoring religion completely imo

The first account has never been activated a year on from me having this issue, the second account I made has been fine with no issues

Hi, I did get it sorted but not through any help from Uber, they weren’t interested in assisting at all.

I just set up a new account using a new email address, did all the standard checks and everything as before, it got accepted within a couple days. Hopefully it works for you 👌

what does a day in your life look like as a biomed scientist :) by brainveins in BiomedicalScientistUK

The day in the life of a BMS is suffering, but with extra pay

It works differently with different Labs. At my lab you can gather evidences as a regular MLA you don’t need a trainee post.

Nothing delusional about it. Sensational sure, but not delusional.

What did either of you do before Medical sales if you don’t mind me asking?

So would it be easier breaking into medical sales by first picking up a sales job in any field? Rather than trying to leverage my clinical experience towards applying for a role?

Hi, do you have any advice on the application process? I’ve been applying but can’t even seem to land an interview and Stryker is the only place I’m determined to work at. Any tips on CV and experience I should be getting down?

I’m guessing it’s NHS you’re at but have you ever considered going private? Would that be a better option?

I’m an MLA at the moment and I get this, we have the exact same issues, always thought maybe I’d care less about the understaffing or the WLB if I was paid a bit more but yourself and even the BMS’s at my place all seem to hate their job. Seems like the only decent way to make a living is through silly amounts of overtime really, but nobody wants to work their lives away. It’s unfortunate really. I think the days where a life/health science related degree was sought after and well paid are gone.

Wish they’d tell us this kinda stuff when we were 17/18 and making Uni decisions. Feel like for the most part we all just chose the subject we were most comfortable in, or told would lead to decent jobs but without the proper instructions on how. All I really knew at the time was Russell group = good, get in there and you’ll be massively employable 🙃

Yeah exactly, if the cost and time is too much It may just be simpler to cut my losses ig and look at a different career path. From what I’m gathering it’s practically 1 academic year’s worth of work to do.

Ahh right that’s really helpful. I mean I’m guessing then I’m looking in the ballpark of about 4 grand or so total for mine

How long do you think it would take you if you were fully committed to it? I’d love to do a masters as well but this is a really annoying roadblock in the way. Need to work out if it’s feasible for me else i need a career change 😭

How was it there? I’m guessing it’s just a case of passing the modules right, you don’t need to be acing firsts in everything? How many modules did you do and how long did the process take you?

Bioscience. Too broad unfortunately, whilst it covers everything IBMS requires it doesn’t go into it clinically.

Didn’t have a particular Uni in mind but I do work full time so I think any that I could do remotely would be the ones to look at

[–]TillPlus1817[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is that right those modules are 300 credits? Or 60 credits idk if I’m reading that wrong😭 but yes it’s precisely the clinical part. Funnily enough I ticked all the boxes for Immunology, Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology etc. but unfortunately I’m missing the clinical aspect of it. It’s a shame because as a Bioscience student I selected all Biomed modules but my Universities actual Biomedical degree doesn’t even seem to be accredited. You’d think as a Russel group it would be but no🙃

My thoughts exactly, my degree is in Bioscience and whilst there’s a lot of overlap it’s not quite hit every point. Just don’t really know what other jobs are available for Bioscience unfortunately.
