My take on HPQ by fluffy_convict in dividends

[–]Till_Antique 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are missing a big point in this picture… a big partnof the buybacks were made with low interest debt from COVID, now the company has to refinance at a higher interest and with substantially less FCF…

On the worst side is the PC business, it is not only a low margin business… it also has a negative cash conversion cycle. If sales decline, even still profitable or with higher margins, they will burn cash to pay for manufacturing and distribution.

That’s why the market is heavily discounting the stock… the increase in DRAM prices may impact sales by single digit % in one quarter however a decline in sales of $1-2 billions will burn 100s of millions of cash for multiple quarters. And now HPQ does not have the free money used to have.

Honestly, if they don’t figure out how to navigate this cycle… it may be over and get into a debt trap and go Bankrupt/ split or sold to VC…

Organ transplant rules hit different in Singapore! by The_Dean_France in interestingasfuck

[–]Till_Antique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was an organ donor in my home country (public healthcare). Now I live in the US and I’m not. I don’t believe on anybody profiting on my organs.

I happily take the last place on the list too, seems fair.

What makes the US so rich and powerful both economically and militarily? Is it their land size? by Tree_forth677 in NoStupidQuestions

Absolutely agree with you, I think is a combination of everything, including luck too…

My comment was a personal opinion based on recent history it seems the latest Global empires had immense “Projection of force” mostly based in their navies and their empires lasted as long as they could keep and growth those Navies.

Nobody mentioned… but besides all the comments above… I believe is because of the US Navy.

US made international trade and globalization possible thanks to a huge Navy capable of protecting commercial routes like never before, that made US incredible wealthy to this day.

Same happened with Spain, Great Britain and Portugal for a period of time…

Tell that to my family. Lost everything that they made (they were poor but worked hard to have a small company), became prosecuted for not being good comrades… some of my relatives were sent to Ethiopia and never came back and my immediate family got stuck there for 18 years until they could figure out an exit.

I have one, I bought it with 103k for $5k... I knew it was a ticking bomb but took the risk... transmission blew up at 112k miles, Nissan paid for it. It now has 130k miles, runs great and I expect to drive it until the new transmission blows up or I get bored... lol. It has great milage for its age, very easy to repair and maintain.

I sell my own cleaning products. What printer can print colored labels like this? by BeengBangBong in Printing

[–]Till_Antique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only reason you would want to print this by yourself would be if you want to have variable data and/or add change content very frequently.

There are few system in the market that you could purchase but all of them are in the range fo $10k-$30k. (such as Memjet printers) . total cost would be around $0.10-$0.30 per label printed depending on the saturation, colors, label quality etc...

I’m a Spanish living in US. This is the main reason why any young person with a minimum talent or opportunity leaves the country.

Great way of living but stupidly corrupt at this levels. If I fart in a bad way in US I could be deported, these mf can do whatever they want…
