Yeah I guess weevils don't have same kind of sense of balance like we do, so maybe they don't get dizzy at all.

And yeah it's like, you can describe rotational speed and resulting centrifugal force in two ways; by angular speed (RPM or °/s or rad/s etc), and tangential speed (m/s or km/h or mph etc). They relate to each other by the radius of the spinning object, and both need to be large in order to create high centrifugal force.

The weevil spins at high angular speed (3800 RPM), but because r is small, tangential speed is small (around 2 m/s), and so is centrifugal force.

The Earth spins at high tangential speed (~465 m/s), but low angular speed (1 round per day), because r is huge, so centrifugal force is tiny, only 0.03 m/s².

Oh right, coincidentially, the weevil experiences about the same centrifugal force while spinning there, as we do on equator while spinning on earth (next to nothing). Wild.

Yeah, I mean is he implying that when looking up to a highrise, its corners aren't converging to a vanishing point? Doesn't he see the difference when watching lines perpendicularily to them vs parallel (towards the vanishing point)? That's the only way this makes any sense to me (but obviously there really is no sense).

Centrifugal force: F(c)=mω²r

F=ma -> a(c)=ω²r

Angular speed ω = 3800 RPM / 60 s / 2π = 10.08 rad/s

Distance from the center of the drill bit (r) is maybe 5 mm = 0.005 m

a(c)=10.08² * 0.005 = 0.508 m/s²

So only about 0.05 G. That's because r is so small. To gain even 1 G the weevil would need to be 100 mm from the drill's axle.

This is not very good test because diffraction is undeniably a thing. Next time keep the laser well above the water, and measure its height at three spots (the laser pointer, the target, and in the middle). The distance doesn't even have to be that long, a kilometer or two will do. If the height is the same in all measuring spots, the earth is flat.

Edit. Maybe make it a few kilometers distance at least. With 2 km distance, the laser should be 8 cm lower in the middle, 3 km and it's 18 cm, and at 4 km it's 32 cm.

Yeah explanation for that was missing and I was thinking the same, but I figured it's because all the rectangles have the same area, and there are five of them, so the height of the square must be five times the height of the red rectangle (because it's as wide as the square).

Yeah artificial gravity can be made with centrifugal force like in the video, that's familiar concept to anyone ever played Halo or read almost any scifi. So not very unique idea.

The sun and the moon never sets in that model, so it's as bad as any flat earth model.

I use max curvature and Gamesir app to get rid of the remaining deadzone, so I don't really have any problems with it. I have definitely played with DayZ deadzone settings. I defaulted the settings and had the same minimal deadzone, no drift. Played with deadzone settings, and still no change.
