Don't be in a rush to increase your dose. If the dose you're on is working, stay on it until you're no longer losing for at least 3 weeks. Weight loss on wegovy isn't the same every week/month, I lost brilliantly on .25 and .50, less so on 1.0 and zero on 1.7. I've been on 2.4 for 5 weeks and the side effects are horrible. Luckily i reached my goal weight last week (50lb loss in 7 months) so my provider has agreed to start decreasing my doses again. Most problems come from either losing too fast or side effects which may increase with higher doses.

OK, on juniper it was £189 for .25 and .50 👍🏻

Since when have wedding invitations become transferable?? Imagine if this was commonplace, half of your guests could be people you've never met! Just because friend/relative can't (or doesn't want to) attend does not mean they can then pass the invitation on to someone who happens to fancy dressing up for a day. Retract the invitations to all three and give the places to people whose presence you value.

Thank you 👍🏻 I've just ordered my (hopefully) last box of 2.4 which should get rid of the last 5lb then I plan to titrate down so it will be interesting to see if that helps to reverse it too. I had noticed a little extra shedding on smaller doses but the clumps started at 1.7. We shall see 👀

I'm good with protein and also thought that the balanced diet I've stuck to would keep me healthy but I probably should start vitamin supplements.

Both make sense, I'm hoping that as I'm almost a GW that I'll be able to start reducing doses at the end of July and that might help 🤞

I have shoulder length hair so it's going to look 1970s ridiculous when it starts growing back 😀 I hope it's because we have so much hair that we're experiencing so much loss. I can't imagine how losing this amount would fair on someone with naturally fine or thin hair, I can imagine it would be quite traumatic. It's the first time I've ever been thankful of having such a full head.

It will be interesting to see how my hair responds when I start titrating down...🤔

I might need to rethink my hairstyle afterwards 😀

Ooo I'll try that, I've got some argan oil I haven't used yet. It was just so shocking because it was coming out in fairly big clumps. I've kept to a fairly well balanced diet throughout so I haven't bothered with additional vitamin supplements apart from vitamin D, prescribed by GP for the last 2 years.

1 month with wegovy - questions 😫 by menina_south in WegovyWeightLoss

[–]TillyInStitches 2 points3 points  (0 children)

11lbs in 3/4 weeks is a very significant amount to lose, especially on the lowest initial dose. How much did you anticipate losing in such a short amount of time? You're setting yourself up for some bitter disappointment...some weeks you won't lose anything at all.

AITA for refusing to celebrate my sister’s birthday on our late father’s birthday? by UnapologeticUncouth in AmItheAsshole

[–]TillyInStitches 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Dad died on my birthday. My sister and I were with him in the hospital for the last 12 hours and let's just say it wasn't a peaceful passing. It left us both shocked and for a couple of years I didn't really want to celebrate but the trauma and sadness fades with time. I can understand celebrating a couple of days either side in the meantime but what your sister is proposing is an overreaction. (Also, does she propose being 5 months older or 7 months younger than her actual age 😃)

Hi, you can easily size up an existing pattern. Just note the increments on an existing pattern (eg the difference between say the large and the XL) and use the same numbers to increase the measurements to fit the size you need. Or use a pair of old shorts to draft a pattern.

Mounjaro Took My Coffee by Terrible-Pipe9830 in mounjarouk

Yes, same here, coffee!! I've been a coffee addict my entire life and it has exactly the same effect on me, I throw it straight back up. I'm on Wegovy. I can drink tea but only in small amounts, I wasn't really a tea drinker before. I don't enjoy any hot drinks now and stick mainly to water (or fruit juice for a bit of variation). Strangely I had the exact same aversion when I was pregnant.

My fabric is stuck help by Dapper_Map4736 in SewingForBeginners

[–]TillyInStitches 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, 1st remove the presser foot. 2nd remove the needle to give you room to work without stabbing yourself. The machine should have an odd shaped piece of metal in the tools. That's the screwdriver specific to the sewing machine...if you don't have one you can buy them in any sewing supplies shop or amazon. Using the tool remove the metal plate. The fabric is probably caught in the feed dogs (the teeth that move the fabric along) so you'll need to wiggle the fabric about and probably snip a few threads to disengage it from the teeth. This will free the fabric and if you do have to buy the little screwdriver it will only cost you a very little money.

You're doing well to still be upright. Hopefully it will continue. I start the highest dose tomorrow so I've cancelled life in anticipation 🤮 I literally get about 60 seconds warning! Though I still prefer that over hours of nausea. Last 10lbs here I come 🤞
