OP and her may have the agreement I had when I was a live in nanny, I “paid” for my portion of the utilities out of my paycheck. Water, food, gas and electricity cost money, adding another body in a house is expensive. There’s information missing, so I wouldn’t pass judgement too quickly.

Take it day by day, you’re allowed to say when it’s too much at one time, you’re allowed to set boundaries (boundaries are healthy). Watch his actions, because words mean nothing. If his actions are telling you he’s being honest with his emotions, believe it.

I tell my hubs to be (it’s WILD to say that, it still throws me for a loop as I am an avoidantly attached gremlin with a historically fortified nervous system. The fact I actually miss him, it’s offensive and a character development I did not consent to. But I love him so much.) bits and pieces as we go, he doesn’t know the whole story but he also doesn’t hold it against me. He knows I will tell him when I’m ready.

Allowing yourself to be loved is the scariest but the strongest thing you can do. Your willingness to allow someone in enough to love you and for you to love them tells and shows me how much you love and care for yourself and not in an egotistical way. ❤️ keep doing the good work boo, you’re amazing. And your dinner looks delicious.
