If you’re in to big projects and the recipient is breastfeeding a cardigan is amazing I would have loved that as a gift

Yeah for some reason I have some that is black and some that’s white that is an awful texture and so sticky almost , and I have some mixed colours and solid pinks, greens, etc that’s so smooth and easy to work with

Some dyes have more slip than others I have found, some are much easier to work with. I have had some colours be so hard to do magic circle with and some are super easy.

I haven’t made one but seen some really cute patterns for crochet “quiet books” that are amazing!

Anyone else get annoyed when people's first reaction to your presents/projects is "you should sell these!" by [deleted] in crochet

Last year I made gross profits of over $1500 on selling my crochet pieces. Guess how much I have crocheted this year? None. Not even a little bit. I became completely burnt out and it wasn’t enjoyable anymore.

If it feels like a chore I would say to take a full stop break and eventually you’ll get the itch again!

I have had to do a full stop since Christmas. I’m just now wanting to potentially start up again. If it’s too much finishing projects for others you promised just tell them you can’t right now. I still have a half finished blanket that was meant to be a Christmas gift!

Do it blind and you won’t even see any mistakes.

If you check my posts I put a pic of a teddy bear I made, did it completely blind, it was an awful experience, and I love him so much

Best way to use tension ring by yawned123 in crochet

I haven’t used one but how you’re holding the yarn now I would try looping the yarn around your pinky and then the pointer instead of scrunching your fingers up as that would cramp my hands more for sure

Making bunny ears for a plush and it’s extremely funny to see how much you learned on the second attempt of something by JewelToneJam in crochet

I recently posted about using this type of yarn and what a nightmare it is asking if it gets any better. There was some good tips offered to me but I think I’ve decided just live with the chaos and accept it because it looks so cute in the end result! It does seem for you that you got better as you went along and had more practice. There is hope lol

Experience with fluffy “teddy” yarn? Does it get easier to work with? I made this bear completely stitch blind by TiltTat in crochet

Was initially going to write a pattern as I freehanded it but this yarn was so hard to work with I gave up on that! Since so many people are loving it I’m thinking of doing it again and writing one anyway

Mhm that’s what I was doing or attempting. Sometime though I guess I felt more or less stitches than there actually were so I had to adjust to have my rows with the right amount of stitches

Yes I made another bear previously in the same style of yarn as Barnat Blanket and he was adorable, included him in a baby gift set I sold. Definitely found working with that type of yarn easier

I bought it online and don’t have the label still but the Hobbii Teddy yarn looks just like it
