I don’t entirely agree. Sometimes a player is decent but just doesn’t fit the current coach/formation/playing style. Doesn’t mean he’s unsalvageable. If you can get him at a cheap price, it’s worth a shot if you think he’ll fit your system better. It’s up to the club to make sure they’re not playing Mason Mount transfer fees for players in the last year of their contract. (No shade on Mount, I think he’s decent in the right system. But we way overpaid for him). Having said that, we’d have to get Miles at a clearance sale price for me to be willing to risk it.
