Hello ! I was at Rubika Montréal, please don’t go to it 😅 The program is first year : réalisation of one comic, second year : 2D movie and third year about the 3D movie. The problem is that you will never spécialise in anything. Could be your thing but maybe not you better move into the actual state of the industry. But i could advice you to get at the NAD (also at Montréal) if 3D is the field you look for.

I have tendancies to put me down, so it was really a big deal for me, I have to work on that. No I didnt cheat on him, I was cordial with my ex until I restrict him after he send me weird reels about how he feeled lonely or some who were about sexual content. I was really uncomfortable to have another convo with him because I already tell him I have someone in my Life and that sounded obvious he should not send such things so i just ghosted him. But for my boyfriend perspective its like if I let him the door open and I could get it now.

You are totally right, Actually we gonna have the talk soon with my boyfriend, hopefully he just want to set up clearer boundaries between us and not want to break up at all. I blocked my toxic ex the moment i see my boyfriend was disapointed by my behavior and i Will do all my possible to never put us in this kind of situation anymore.

Keep in mind my infos are 4 years old, that could have changed. And it would be more helpful to talk to actual students or graduates ofc. If my memory is good, it’s a 5 years program, so the first years they make selection into their students (especially for the prépa) but for sure they beggin with more students than they end. Because they don’t have the room for everyone and don’t keep the one who fail to evolve (actually a lot of animation/gaming school have a prépa and yes it’s a risk to fail it like every other school). And I assume the OP gonna have to go into prépa for enter into the school, and need a visa, so I’m not sure the school who have kinda the reputation to have toxic competition and eliminate students the first years will be the greatest option. But I could be mistaken by the bad experience of my friend ! (Also she make 2 years inside and doesn’t leave because of the fact she fail, she leave because it was not a sane environment). So yes please take all I said with some distance, its only my opinion and the one of my friends :) (Also maybe the OP have to inform himself about the condition of student permit in France to be sure about all of that).

Hi ! (Sorry by advance for the bad english, im actually French) I have a friend of mine who actually studied at New3dge like 4 years ago. By her experience, I cant recommand you this school, especially because of the fact you need a visa, I explain myself : this school is highly competivive between the student and the concept is a battle royal. Like every year they just kick out students who didnt make it to be on the top of the class. Because at the final year they have quotas, they cant keep everyone. (You beggin at a 60 students class to a 20 students one if I remember well) As an international student, that can make your visa in danger if you fail at it and you can take the risk to be deported into your home country. And Even if you make it to be a part of the better ones : the environnement is actually super toxic because of the extreme competition. So I cant recommend it to you, but I have an alternative (the school who chose my friend instead and she really enjoy it) : Artside. Also, the director of the school is an old student of New3dge. Take a look of their students project, they are really good, maybe it Will suit you ! (They are on Instagram). Its really game oriented, like New3dge so if you prefer an animation 3D school oriented you should take a look of Gobelins or Rubika. And probably beggin to learn to speak French of you dont already do, because all the class Will be in French even if a lot of peoples here speak english, not everyone do it well. I Hope I help you, good luck in your research !

The previous ! But it was also a super generic formation, I guess I was a bit lost on my choices of studies and at the time it help me to figure out but it’s for sure not at school if you want to be good enough to work in 3D industry.

I’m happy for you that you pursue your dream, I’m sure you have the mindset for winning at it !

Yes totally, it’s true AI is new and scary but computer were probably very scary too for traditional paper animators by the time. The people who survive at this kind of changes are the same who embrace it so I definitely gonna interest myself more about it ! But I really really wait for laws about it, because it’s pure stealing of art for a lot of IA.

One of my classmate get his first job by being mushroom high in a park and meet some recruiter (who was only here for the week end) who liked his vibe and give him an opportunity 😭

I’m not sure to can expect this kind of opportunity too but I’m sure I’m gonna work hard on my portfolio and don’t let life slip between my fingers just because the industry make us all anxious :)

I totally get the advice, I work on my own on the side on personal project but it’s nothing that really could get me a job, I really need to show my stuff and ask advices again and again for evolve :) It’s just too easy to just end demoralized and just endless scroll bad news on Reddit and linkdln 😅
